Open Jaw companion ticket booking

I want to fly direct to DEN in business return but can only get outbound. There is availability at the moment from couple of other US cities for inbound. If I book an open jaw with my companion ticket, could I change to Denver if availability comes up later. Sorry if this is covered elsewhere.

Have you searched WITH the companion voucher to see if it opens extra availability? Also, you’ll need to call to book an open jaw.
