I see the headline terms of the platinum referral offer now is around referring ‘friends’ rather than family. Is it still okay to refer ones wife?
Does that trigger the bonus okay? Thanks
Yes, this will be fine – I’ve done it before.
One to watch out is to make sure you use the right link – I’ve had two issues recently where I’ve sent the a ref link from my BA Amex rather than Platinum – meaning I only got 6,000 avios rather than 18,000 reward points. Amex have bumped me up to 12,000 as a gesture of goodwill – but losing out on 6,000 is annoying lol
Does anyone know if there is a Platinum referral link that nets more rewards than current 30k offer?

Almost definitely if you ask around. I’ve had a significantly boosted gold one for ages
