Just snapped up some 50 Cent (the rapper, unfortunately not the price) tickets for the Marriott Suite at the O2. Thinking about how to leverage this best to double dip with the luxury travel agent statement credits. Anyone familiar with the mechanics? Could I book a night with Emyr to pay at the property, get the $100 credit hotel credit (plus breakfast) plus the GBP100 statement credit on my Amex? Some hotels say “The offer is not valid for transactions via third parties”, but technically I would expect this not to be a third party transaction when booking through a luxury travel agent – in line with the big chains. Anyone familiar? Suggestions?
