Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club The new Club being bad with partner airlines credits

    Hi all,

I wonder what people’s experience is with how the new club handles partner airlines credits.

I am a gold member since Oct 24 but for various reasons haven’t flown much between Dec 24 and Apr 25.

Now I’ve had a few business class trips these past few weeks, with my BA number properly recorded on boarding passes in each case. Suffice to say it’s not a great experience.

18 May (UL LHR-CMB) – not credited. Claim rejected by the automatic system. Emailed club but they are bad…

23 May (UL CMB-LHR) – credited but not until 3 June.

1/2 June (QR LHR-DOH-SEZ) – still nothing. Never had to wait that long with Qatar. That’s two business class flights.

5/6 June (QR SEZ-DOH-LHR) – still within the 7 working days but somewhat sceptical it will credit.

How are others finding it? Any good tips for recovering points effectively with SriLankan and Qatar?

The same thing is happening in reverse. Flying BA and crediting to AY+ first flights never credited and BA initially rejected claim leading to farce of going through retro claims.
Latest flights haven’t credited after a week and AY+ the only FFP used. I think this time because I stupidly upgraded and Finnair only credit original booking never upgrades.
Seems there is a lot of manual intervention and on flyertalk there are stories of incorrect tier points even on BA flights with BA numbers.
In short it remains a mess

Thanks for the response. Well it really is a mess! I don’t see how I can just let it go, yet chasing down uncredited flights manually is a nightmare. The airlines just don’t cooperate.

Last year I chased down a small domestic LATAM flight (GRU-BSB) I took in June, just on principle. Kept emailing the BA exec club with proof of passage, receiving no replies. It miraculously credited in November…

I’d be interested to hear what strategies people take and what seems to work. Has anyone tried messaging them on X? Back during the pandemic that was the way to get cancelled flights refunded and it seemingly worked better than any other attempts at contacting customer support.
