UK to Switzerland travel now VERY easy

Incase this is of use to someone else, just over a week ago the Swiss changed the rules, so as long as you’re vaccinated (or recovered in the last 180 days) then you can travel without any testing requirement. Still need to fill out a PLF I understand, but the fact I’m not dicking around on the day before departure with finding approved COVID tests in either direction is giving me a disproportionate sense of relief.

What’s the on the ground situation with vaccine passports and NHS app?

I needed to show my vaccine proof in order to check in to my hotel, and to enter restaurants (not checked at any other time).

I loaded my most recent certificate onto the Swiss app because it’s much easier/quicker to open than the NHS app and works offline.

Remember that – at least with an iphone – you can save the vaccination certificate in your wallet.

Looks like they will decide whether to lift the remaining restrictions on 16 Feb. Think I’ll wait until then before deciding when to go
