Current bonus of 15,000 and thinking of joining to get the offer.
Is this the highest the bonus has been +/- likely to go any higher in the short term? Realise most retail banking switching offers have been relatively low recently.

Do you have a ‘throwaway’ current account to switch from then I think it’s worth doing to get the points?
If you value 15k points at £150, then that is more generous than any of the current cash bribes for switching according to MSE who track these things:

I would have thought that once a target had been met then the offer would be reduced, to say 10k points, so that it can be reintroduced with a marketing splash at a later date.
Yes it’s probably close enough to the best you’re going to get that it’s not worth waiting. Although I don’t think it’s worth anywhere near £150.
Regarding having a throwaway account, give it takes about 5 mins max to make multiple throwaways, not having one immediately to hand should never be a dealbreaker unless you value you time at about four figs per hour.
Log into online banking and click something along the lines of “new current account”. IIRC it’s instant for all Lloyds Banking Group accounts as well as Nationwide.

Don’t use your primary banking account for opening new accounts and immediately switch them out. Banks don’t like it and will shut down all your accounts with them.
Most account switches require you to have a couple of direct debits set up, so it’s not possible to set them up in 5 minutes max

There’s no indication that this is the case in my experience. Have done 10+ with both Halifax and Nationwide switching out within an hour of opening them.

Er, of course it is. Having done this myself many times including as recently as three weeks ago. Set up the accounts and the DDs all within less than 5 mins and DDs obviously transferred over correctly by FSS as I’ve already been paid my 2 x £125.
