    Hi,

Have booked a concert for December using virgin points. We can’t go now as we realise we are away for work. Is there any chance of someone else going instead? How closely do they check IDs?

I went recently and think they just asked for our names and not IDs. They issue tickets via the o2 app so you just need those to get in.

    Thanks. That’s useful to know!

Went the other week for Pulp and there was no ID checking.

As noted above tickets need to go through the O2 app so potentially you might need to lend someone else your O2 app log-in linked to your email address?

Ok. Not sure how comfortable I am with that! Are the QR codes only temporary then? Mmm…….I might have to think about this one!

I thought there was a transfer tickets function within the O2 arena app?

WHy are you not comfy? You clearly can’t resell the tickets as that would be ‘account closed down’ territory and if you can’t trust a mate with your O2 app then ….

Sharing the app is ok I guess in principal, it’s more the faff of having to change the password for their use and I presume the phone number as well temporarily.

Yes, I was wondering this but I guess they might block it for certain types of tickets……..

Didn’t try to transfer so can’t answer that – note they use ‘live’ bar codes so you can’t screenshot tickets or similar – everything has to be via app

Thanks. Yes. That was what I was thinking might be a possibility. I’ll give it a shot!

Thanks for the tips. I have now got a full refund with no quibbles. They should change the wording to “non-refundable unless you ask”!
