VV has announced cancellation of the following on Valiant Lady 2026. They are supposed to be notifying those passengers affected with the available options.
28th June Moroccan Marvels (10 nights). There is a rescheduled Moroccan Marvels departing July 26th 2026 (again 10 nights).
8th July Emerald Isles (14 nights).
22nd July Baltic Wonders (14 nights).
I’d been looking at the Baltic Wonders and now glad I hadn’t booked it.
Just received an email from virgin voyages with details of the new itineraries in place of these cancellations…6/7/8 night itineraries. All shorter, maybe the longer cruises weren’t that popular?
My daughter has just returned from Malaga where the new VV cruise ship is moored just out to sea and is clearly visible to all. Sounds like it’s been there for some time.

It’s been there a LONG time.
Not enough demand for existing Virgin cruises so they would have to deep discount when that eventually enters service.
It’s only a matter of time before the brand sinks.
The American cruises felt like they are doing well. But of course filled with Americans, fewer of whom are inclined to travel across for the Europe itineraries.
Nothing will ever beat the original offers, where sailings were crammed with people on points redemtions and travel agents on comped tickets. That’s the sort of clientele I want to sail with!
The new itineraries are riffs on the original ‘Irresistible Med’ cruises. The prices aren’t outrageous, but they are certainly not irresistible.
Have a MNVV voucher but currently no good place to use it. We would only go for 1wk so options are to sail a similar Europe itinerary to what we’ve already done, or do another American one. Neither of which appeals strongly.
I’m still enjoying the Virgin Voyages vibe and, after 3 really cheap ‘points’ cruises, I have succumbed to actually paying for them!!
I had a great price and lots of bar tab for last year’s Portsmouth to Spain 12 nighter and I’ve got 2 Brilliant Lady bookings – including the first Alaska one.
In addition, I couldn’t resist the 2026 transatlantic Iceland, Greenland, Canada and New York sailing in the ‘sale’ but I’m hoping it won’t be too rough a crossing. Seasickness may end my addiction to VV.
To be fair the longer itineraries do look great – and I would probably be booked on one if I could work from them or take more time off!

@Tracy I don’t think they appealed to the insta/ Tik tok / ‘effleuncer’ crowd who want warmth and glamourous locations at which to take selfies 😊.
@peeps -I’ve said before I can’t see VV being sustainable. Loot and bar tabs are long gone I’m another passenger who’s enjoyed points cruises and has moved onto being a paying passenger. My next cruise is another (IMHO) bargain but these are becoming few and far between.
Effluencer 😂 I’m going to steal that.
I have a 9 night cruise booked on the Valiant next year, I’d be so gutted if they cancelled it, especially after finding great flights! Fingers crossed it’s just the ones listed.
We have just got off our 4th (paid) cruise, Resilient from Athens 10 nights around Croatia etc. compared to previous ones, it was absolutely dreadful. The bands are truly awful now, the musak over speakers is appalling and quality of food has deteriorated beyond belief, especially in the galley. Our saving grace was recognising a few stuff from previous CPT cruise who looked after us – even they said that the owners were just cutting costs and that includes even the way they hire the bands and crew through agencies now.
Not wishing to be rude but the clientele is 80-90% US and they shout the place down – I suspect they were on special deals as they all seemed to be best friends forever!
No more VV for us, I’m afraid.

Sorry to her this, especially regarding the food. I suppose the entertainment and even staff would naturally change for the better or worst over time however it’s concerning if their food is going down hill…
Indeed the whole vibe was always at risk of becoming overly tacky / Americanised very quickly and it seems this has already happened. Oh well, it’s a rather environmentally destructive and sanitised way to holiday, so we won’t miss it all that much

I looked out for it and spotted it leaving AGP last week!
Also saw the Virgin cruise ship coming and going from Bimini when we were there in March, rather incongruous docked next to a tiny and relatively undeveloped island. It seems very popular on the Miami schedule.
