Can’t see how to add an avatar 😩
You cannot add an avatar on the forum itself. It seems to use Gravatar, much like the main HfP comments threads.
As long as you’ve registered your forum email address with Gravatar your avatar will show up.
I’m confused. Easily done. Why do I show as anonymous. I’ve registered have a user name and password. My user name isn’t showing.

Got an “incorrect CAPTCHa error ” twice when logging on – never saw a CAPTCHA !

It’s happening for everyone at the moment – appears to be a bug. We are getting it fixed.

These things happen, unfortunately. If you’re using, strong (randomly generated), unique passwords for each site you sign in to, simply changing the password for Gravatar is all you need to do.
If you’ve reused that password elsewhere then you should change the password everywhere that one was used.
(I love HaveIBeenPwned – it’s great to get up to date information about breaches!)

It’s a bit confusing with the reply and quote buttons being above each post. I have always expected them to be below.

Agree with the rules, but to support the “Don’t post single line replis that don’t add much”, a like/dislike or a “helpful” button would be good to allow people to “second” or “affirm” a helpful post?Could we have some master threads for referral codes? Seeing as there’s often posts looking for a code that could be useful to people. It could be sorted by default by newest to oldest or some other way to somehow keep the codes distributed fairly.

Apologies – that is actually my fault. When I added the link, there was an option to open the link in a new browser window but I forgot to enable it.
oh wow finally, hope the search feature works well too 🙂 I wonder if we are getting reps from multiple companies so they can assist us with merchant codes 😀
Well my first thought is – fun game – guess every “anonymous” identity from their now-big-enough-to-be-visible avatar pic
Second thought – would it be a good idea to have a “dustbin” off-topic forum for the interesting chat on every subject that pops up every day from the very informative HfP crowd. I’ve never ‘got on’ with forums but this one looks promising! I do hope the rules are applied as HfP seems a bit less civil than when I first started following it four years ago!
