Hi, Rob/Rhys
I’ve just submitted a post to flight cancellations etc and it has been sent for moderation.
Why is that given there’s nothing contentious, swear words within it etc?One of the rules is adding a URL. Maybe you had included one?
@yonasl: nope, no links included, just plain English.
Bemused. It randomly happens and often Rob doesn’t even know why as it is determined by a dark algorithm in the software that Rob buys in. Sometimes I suspect it might be triggered by your IP address. I had a brief patch where everything got sent for moderation and I have never said anything interesting let alone contentious.
…and I have never said anything interesting …
Maybe that was why.. 🙂

It’s indeed unfortunate. I had a few posts like this. I post less often now because of that. Especially frustrating when it happens in the daily chat and the post gets approved when it’s the next day or doesn’t even get released because it’s no longer relevant.

+1
It’s one of the main drawbacks with using bbPress. Yes it integrates more readily with WordPress (for obvious reasons) but isn’t a touch on other, well matured forum software.

We all love ya! Besides, if my banal posts get thorough, yours definitely should be fine…
It is on the same moderation system now as the comments.
What we are considering, when both back in the office, is moving to ‘first post approval’ with no checking of any sort after that. Downside is that new posters may get frustrated although it works effectively end spam.
