It can take a few days longer, it’s random sometimes!
Though I’m still missing 100k points from Sept and Oct 2024!
Need to raise a complaint.

Good morning from the Hilton Bournemouth. Quite impressed with this hotel on the whole. The beds abit hard for my liking though.
The minute I did chip and pin for the amex, I received an email saying the £75 offer had been triggered. I’ve not seen that before. The weather was dismal yesterday, but I am trying to embrace this mini break Uk Holiday idea.
I was there last weekend having not been there for a few years. I thought they had got rid of the exec lounge, turns out they still have one on the first floor open Mon-Thurs but still accessible at weekends for a drink/snack.
Not as good as when it first opened but still a decent hotel.

Same, offered £50 😢 Must be the same script as the same wrong date was given.
Same offer for me a few days ago – asked if there was anything more generous (e.g. 10-15k Avios for a certain spend), but was told that was all they could do…takes the edge off the fee increase I guess
Chat today.
In recognition of your loyalty to us I would like to offer an exclusive Offer. If you spend £15,000 in the next 6 months you will get a £50 statement credit. This will be added to your Account once spend has been made. This could help to offset the fee increase which will be applied on your next card anniversary date after 1st Aug 2024.
• This statement credit is in addition to your standard Avios earn rate, where you will collect 22,500 Avios from this spend.
• You don’t need to take any action, if you accept this Offer, I will enrol you now.Dissapointing….

Mine has appeared, but just doesn’t work. Click the “lock or unlock spending” and nothing happens. It was previously locked by Nectar due to a large balance but they never told me, had to contact to unlock. Will contact again 🤬

Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, Iceland has a great lounge. Top floor overlooking the bay, floor to ceiling windows. Breakfast was excellent in the main restaurant. Iceland has no many incredible things to explore

Despite the issue last year, we were there last week for half term.
Great food, drinks and entertainment. Didn’t leave the resort but there are plenty of cheap activities around.
They allow 2 kids free in any room with 2 adults when paying with points.
Upgraded to lake house for £80 a night. Split bill between 2 Amexes for two £50 Amex offer credits which is a bonus!
I would go back again.

Which hotel is both by a sea and a river?
Hilton Dalaman All inclusive

I got two be my guest certificates. How much for that 🤣
To be fair I spent £9k and they downgraded me as a Diamond, it was probably a better/bigger room but they just kept denying it. Booked sea view, got river view. Also got a refund for difference in room price

Has it changed from an immediate forfeit:
https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/05/18/american-express-rewards-credit-card-benefits-3/Amex now say:
https://www.americanexpress.com/en-gb/rewards/membership-rewards/about-program#answerM9Do Membership Rewards points expire?
Unlike many other schemes your Membership Rewards Points have no expiration date.
However, please remember that:-
• If you end your Card Account agreement and there are no other Linked Cards on your Points Account, you will have 30 days from the date you request this to redeem your Points. If you do not redeem your Points within 30 days, they will be forfeited.I spoke to support who also said:
We can transfer points to Airline/Hotel partner account affiliated with Amex Membership reward program within 30 days of cancellation. After cancellation, you can call or chat with us to check options for redeeming your Membership Rewards points.
-Points will forfeit after 30 days from the cancellation date unless there’s an active linked account.bigmaggot 34 posts

I booked some flights with Virgin to MCO next summer during school holidays 2 days ago. Now 4 times more expensive
bigmaggot 34 posts
Thanks for your post last night. I grabbed 4 seats 🙂
Premium out, upper on the way back.
Though not sure virgin charged correctly.
Had 3 vouchers, but they would only use 2.
Charged 180,000 points and £3200.
I said to the agent about dynamic pricing and how much more it was going to be in points, he agreed but said taxes and charges were going to be lower!

Unfortunately not, only on direct bookings for status benefits.
But while at Dubai Palm, they do let you use the lounge with Diamond status and BA Holidays.
It could be worth asking the hotel and see if they can honour your status.

Mine was 75k 🤣

You are correct it’s disappeared from membership tab. However I hit 10k spend this month yesterday and 10k reward points were added today as usual

Any news if this is going to apply to business platinum?
bigmaggot 34 posts
Is this worth chasing? Already have hotels.com/expedia gold.
bigmaggot 34 posts
Any issues with curve I recommend chasing their X support who actually respond especially for refunds

Assuming this only applies to business platinum?

I had 10k of cleared transactions on Thursday, voucher arrived on Tuesday (the day after the 40% virgin birthday sale ended 😡)
