I remember the days when you could get a train from Glasgow to London but maybe I’m showing my age?

We’ve had lovely upgrades as Diamond this year, Budapest & Dubrovnik we’re tremendous rooms.
Deluxe rooms elsewhere as opposed to the basic rooms I booked.
The Diamond upgrades are still around

A very pleasant journey through T1 this morning, walked from the Doubletree at 3-30 and was sat in Starbucks airside at 4-05.
Plenty of helpful staff around to help.

If you’re flying long haul the connecting flight is almost free, that’s why why us northerners choose this option.

We were in Cuba in 2019 and our ESTA were issued early 2022 for a visit in May 2022

Pool is nice at DT, parking is £10 per day and the lounge is good with decent food and drink in the evening
from 6 til 8, breakfast was fine.
Very handy for shopping and buses stop outside.

Not correct, did you add everyone’s executive club number?

    cabal of rabid baboons

Indeed, the receptionist told us that like to keep that area for BA clients.
A very pleasant experience for us simple northern folk.

I live chatted on day 92 and the agent escalated my complaint and asked me
to get back in touch for a 4th time in 10 days for an update.
It’s only around £20 due so I cancelled the card, I’ve done pretty well with the Morrisons offer but if they don’t credit
within 10 days then they never will and
you’ll waste a lot of time chasing it up.

We’re going in September and I have Marriott points to spend.
I’d originally booked The Gwen but
after a bit more research I
switched to Westin on the river as
    BWS recommended.

in reply to: Air France to IAD?
    cabal of rabid baboons

How strange, we’ve just used IAD, despite being first off a 380 we were literally the last people through immigration and ours were the only cases left on the carousel but we were in a taxi within 30 minutes of deboarding.
For check in we arrived a bit early, almost 4 hours before our flight but walked straight upto an open BA desk through to security where there was no queue at all and into the BA lounge all within 20 minutes of leaving our taxi.

    cabal of rabid baboons

The hot breakfast items were decent quality and were replaced by a selection of sandwiches around 11-30.
It was busy with plenty of bookings and BA status passengers, saw priority pass holders being refused in the morning

in reply to: Manchester T3 Fast Track available with CE??
    cabal of rabid baboons

Fast track wasn’t in use Thursday morning at Terminal three but only took 15 minutes to get through, Escape lounge perfectly acceptable but merely a warm up for the Concorde Lounge.

We were there in December, I’m Diamond and they really looked after us.
We had a car (free parking) but we’d used public transport into Valletta next time, it’s horrendous trying to park there.
The hotel is child friendly in case that’s an issue either positive or negative.
