Worked well for me in USA for all purchases. Bought a new apple watch. Got 1% cashback for buying in USD. Got another 1% as apple is one of my permanent cashback retailers.

I have the premier account with the avios bolt on. Got the same email tonight. Don’t understand stand what they’re saying. I always thought the ‘blue rewards’ and avios bolt on were mutually exclusive

Unlikely. The last few times there have been enhanced bonuses, they are only possible if applying directly via BA.com. Not possible to use a referral, as you’d only get the standard 26/28k with a referral.

I assume its also the reason you don’t see much coverage on hfp when there is an enhanced bonus, as you can’t apply via the article’s for the higher bonus. I think Rob mentioned last year that when BA ran their 70k promotion, it coincided with Amex increasing their SUB to 35k, but obviously everyone then ended up applying directly, and hfp lost out on a five figure commission.

Thanks. I’m hoping to cancel or downgrade my BAPP card as 241 earned. My partner can sign up for a new one. So 60k sign up bonus is likely to beat any future upgraded referral bonus when you combine what the referee and referer get?

All sorted thanks folks. Called the call centre. Rtn flights from belfast to USA via LHR in Club world and club Europe. Used 2x upgrade vouchers. 170k avios and £700 for 2 pax. Zero extra fees or avios for the BHD -LHR rtn club Europe flights. Not a bad deal.

Won’t quite beat my 241 amex companion voucher earlier this month. Dublin to Madrid to Santiago with Iberia. £300 and 130k avios for 2 pax. Business class the whole way. 😊
