Spending £16 on a diazepam and bottle of Bombay Sapphire will do more for your comfort on the flight than a PE upgrade.

6211 through Bendy was good while it lasted but luckily the best methods don’t use Bendy at all.

I don’t know if those tariffs apply to the avios booking as the “change fee” of an avios flight would be whatever Iberia charges (it is £35 with BA I don’t remember the IB number right now).

Thanks. Any idea where to find the current IB change/cancellation fee?

Anyone have a recommendation for the Spanish Pyrenees where signal might not always be easy to get?

I have access to ubigi, airolo, global yo and can get other e-sims too.

So not “nothing risky” then …

Not anything anyone would normally worry about or use that word for, no.

Not really. Look at the statistics. I suspect they do more risky things all the time.

How long have you got? I wouldn’t want to do more than rio and Iguazú with Just a couple of weeks.

You’ll need a lot more than three nights in Chalten just to do the highlights.

Second the recommendation to stay in Centro in DF.

And there’s nothing risky about a hot air balloon flight.

Strange, just worked fine on mobile. No idea why it wasn’t working last night.

    Thanks all.

Damn that’s annoying. I definitely can’t wait several more weeks.

Strange this doesn’t seem to be discussed anywhere…

Navigating through the BA and Iberia websites manually takes me to a Combine my Avios page where if I try to log in to my BA or Iberia account I just get the error:

Your session has timed out, please log in again

Have tried on multiple browsers on multiple connections on multiple platforms and get the same issue.

I have transferred between these accounts before and email address etc. matches.

Has anyone managed to get Avios into Iberia in the last week or two?

@Michael C great place and good to see somewhere other than an Ivy or steak place get a mention. Re Launceston Place, you may blow the Plat offer at Sabor but my wife and son went last weekend and said it was again exceptional. My son get vouchers at Virgin Experiences that get you the £39 set lunch @ £58 for two and O2 gives you £20 off Virgin Experiences, so £38 for two exceptional lunches with quite a few inclusions not shown on the menu!

Virgin Experience Days isn’t letting me use a gift card with a discount code at the same time meaning I now have a useless £50 Virgin Experience Days gift card.

How did you manage to get this to go through?

In addition to “attractions” Lisbon has thriving performing arts and music scenes. From high brow ballet and opera through to rock festivals and techno clubs. Obviously dates may not line up with your interests (and you’ve already missed this year’s Sonar) but try and catch something.

    This, 100 times this.

Berardo, Popular and Gulbenkian all very good.

The A Cevicheria tasting menu was excellent last time I was there.

So many good hikes even if you ignore BC. But strong disagree that 2.5 weeks is too long.

If you do go to India I can also strongly recommend a week or so in Dharamshala. Bir also very nice.

I would hope you hold out for something closer to 140k than 10k.

Though I’ve never expected the WiFi to be functional enough go actually get work done on a flight…

I am still waiting for my credit. 40 days and still counting. I was told it’ll be between 30-60 days. At 60 days I will call in and complain.

Was yours prepaid and chosen at checkout?

Probs best to split it over as many subs as possible and the rest on a 1% cashback card.

Does it depend on whether the booking was paid in advance ?

I made a booking (prepaid) and the credit was applied a day later; when I needed to cancel the booking I enquired what the status of the credit would be – it wasnt rescinded; so effectivley £200 cash

It looks like AMEX travel and AMEX CC operate almost at arms length

That’s very helpful to know, thanks.

I’d just cash out about 2 million of them on ebay. By the time you get through the rest of them a devaluation will probably have happened.

As little as possible for your logistics in Iguazú and 2:1 BsAs:Rio. Though I have to question the point of going to BsAs for potentially as little as 4 nights. If you’re flying halfway across the world you want preferably at least two weeks there to start getting a feel for the city.

Must be tons of hostels in that price range.
