This is an appalling service and as soon as the 10% discount on rail trips ends next month, I’m off.

If you were that appaulled then surely you’d take your business away now and not when the promo ends!

But why would I want to take my business away in respect of a tiny shortfall of Avios when the 10% cash back on rail journeys is working perfectly fine?

No the forum isn’t controlled by Uber. It’s a silly allegation to make.

Rob allows a wide range of views to be posted on his site and only removes posts that are defamatory or 109% wrong.

If you want to converse with Rob about it you should email him via the “hello” email listed at the bottom of the page.

That was intended as a bit “tongue in cheek”. I know full well that Uber have no control over this site.

I see this every month. The payment usually comes out of my bank the following day. I don’t worry about it. Don’t forget also that your DD date is several days before you payment due date so a slippage of one day or so will not be a problem.

I believe it’s for journeys within UK only.

The Platinum card does not have a 2-4-1 voucher. Please explain what you mean.

Yes, I got it as soon as I hit the £6k target spend.
It comes as a credit when you spend through Amex travel.
In reality, it was worth about £150 as I could have got the hotel we booked £50 cheaper by booking elsehere

I spent mine as soon as I got it. I could see that Amex travel booked my hotel through Expedia and I therefore got it at the same rate as if I’d gone direct to Expedia (less, of course, the £200 credit).

Same here. Over 100 offers on BAPP card but only 30 on Platinum – and not very impressive offers at that.

Hi, exactly the same as me. My application was approved at 7:00pm on Saturday evening, some three weeks after I had asked them to look again at it. My credit history was also impeccable. At least I got there in the end, having agreed a reduction in credit limit on BAPP.

Telling you this Barclaycard mob will never make it with their issues. lol Anyway so got the card 2 weeks after the ‘we need o check message’ tried to register on the app but needs my pin but need into the app for the pin and their own website does not recognise the card number, on hold for 30 minutes still trying to get someone, see if it was not for the points i would have just made an official complaint to remove any footprint and binned.

So Curve, managed to add this card after a few tries. I have used curve for years and never any bother at all using a linked card.

1m shillings – what denomination are the notes?! That reminds me of when I used to go and stay with family in Rome and they still used the lira!

Notes I was given were 20,000. Unfortunately the wad is so thick I can’t now fold my wallet. We also withdrew 20,000,000 (not on Curve this time). That was was approx, 9 inches thick.

Well, I did a test withdrawal of £10 on my Curve in London about 3 weeks ago. It went through OK and I got 15 Avios points on it.

Spurred on by this, I have, in the last hour, withdrawn 1,000,000 Ugandan Shillings in Kampala. Thats £227 including local bank charge. It’s gone through OK and is sitting in “Pending” on my Barclaycard. Hopefully, I’ll get my 340 Avios. When I did the London withdrawal, it was recorded on my Barclaycard account as “Services. Not Elsewhere C”. However, for my Uganda withdrawal the charge on my Barclaycard shows “CRV, Kampala Road ATM”, though that’s not the final designation which only seems to appear after the transaction is no longer “Pending”. Let’s hope it’s all OK.

What did Barclaycard customer services tell you when you phoned them using the number on the back of the card?

I’ve seen a few references on this forum to “call the number on the back of the card”. My card has no telephone number anywhere – neither front nor back. Why is mine different?
