Thanks for all replies. I take from this that BA needs to retrain or even replace their external Comms team. Their email was as clear as mud.

I’ve seen one thread where the answer would confirm my initial thinking as correct. But today’s email from BA appears to say something quite different.We’re contacting you with more information on the changes announced to your Tier Point Collection Year, and what this means for you.
This change will move all Executive Members onto the same annual collection period of 1 April to 31 March. When your next collection period begins on 9 September 2024 it will end on 31 March 2025 instead of 8 September 2025.
This is a shorter time for you to collect Tier Points, so we’ll add a Tier Point Adjustment to your account, consisting of any Tier Points earnt from 1 April 2024 to 8 September 2024. This Tier Point Adjustment will be added within 14 days of 8 September 2024 and the Tier status earned will remain until 30 April 2026.

I will be silver when we fly and will use my 241 voucher to buy one way tickets to Orlando (cruise). I want my daughter to purchase our avios flights back to London from Barcelona. She won’t have enough (or want to spend I suspect) avios for club euro flights. I can live with economy for a 2hr flight but I do need the enhanced luggage allowance, and very much welcome lounge access. I thought my status would extend across but good to have confirmed.
Leamunroe 7 postsThank you all so much. The clarity the tier points apply to the collection year is super helpful. My next trip is WTP in October using the 241 voucher so no tier points, but am looking forward to accessing lounge!
