Should solve the lounge overcrowding issues at least!
5th September 2024 at 16:29 in reply to: Flight cancelled 5 months out. Will BA re-route on LH/AF?leggyblonde 26 postsThanks all. It’s for a 3 day ski trip to Briancon and my wife was planning to drive past from Aosta to pick me up. Milan is a lot of extra driving and Nice is even worse.
I’ll call and see if I can persuade them to pit me on the LH flight.
4th September 2024 at 14:40 in reply to: Flight cancelled 5 months out. Will BA re-route on LH/AF?leggyblonde 26 postsMMB doesn’t show anything apart from the 06:20 flight. There are no other BA or even OW options that afternoon
leggyblonde 26 postsIf only Uber train journeys could actually find the best value tickets. I’ve used the trainline quite a few times in the last month because they found tickets that were literally half the price of what Uber came up with.
leggyblonde 26 posts@Paul have a look here for example https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/avios-flight-50p-cancellation-any-recent-data-points/
30th July 2024 at 13:50 in reply to: Avios flight 50p cancellation. Any recent data points?leggyblonde 26 postsHi NorthernLass, all sorted online at the 5th attempt in at 50p/person. The advice and help on this website is always so useful!
30th July 2024 at 10:04 in reply to: Avios flight 50p cancellation. Any recent data points?leggyblonde 26 postsThanks everyone for their help on this. I went to cancel the flights and of course now BA’s IT keeps asking me to log in to cancel even though I am logged in! Tried on both the app and desktop. Im not calling as I know I will certainly be charged the full whack…

leggyblonde 26 postsThanks Dave, I generally find that this forum is much more useful/specific for BA-related topics than the vast amount of differing opinions that Google can throw up!

leggyblonde 26 postsLombok (away from the Gilis) is like Bal1 30 years ago in many ways, far less development and fewer tourists but that is all changing fast.
Kuta/Koeta in the south is a nice mix with some great independent places to stay such as the Jivana resort and would be a good place for a few days before or after the Gilis (Gili Air would be my recommendation).leggyblonde 26 postsIf that happened on a TfL bus, would you ask for anything from Sadiq?
Apart from the fact that BA/IAG are a corporate/for profit organisation who are saving costs by putting out a call for a Dr to work for free when a medical emergency happens. If someone has a heart attack on a London bus, you dial 999 and a paramedic arrives promptly!
leggyblonde 26 postsThe marhaba and the horizon lounges (I think they are bothSwiss port run lounges) at Geneva are terrible.
Poor food, dirty and the tables and chairs are shabby.
oh no, I’ll be flying to Geneva next month..
Poor you, they really are rubbish!
leggyblonde 26 postsIs there a page with the details of how this works somewhere?
22nd February 2024 at 10:02 in reply to: What is the max number of rows in Club Europe?leggyblonde 26 postsOne way to ensure some form of choice if you are seated towards the back if there lots of CE rows is to order a special meal. This can be doubly advantageous on a short flight as they are generally brought out first or at least after row 1
leggyblonde 26 postsDid you take a screen capture? that would be my starting point
leggyblonde 26 postsWhat was the cost of the equivalent cash ticket at the time?

leggyblonde 26 postsThere has been champagne available with no problems when I have asked for it on a couple of visits this year.
We may have been lucky with our Club Europe flight timings but the lounge has always been pretty quiet but well-stocked. Enjoy!
leggyblonde 26 postsYou will have access to a lounge for food beforehand too. It’s popular on here to slag off the BA lounges but I find them perfectly adequate, especially at at LGW and T5B at LHR
leggyblonde 26 postsHmmm, thanks. I wonder if I can get them to offer some more as an apology!
