You’re not alone. The only way I’ve been able to use the availability calendar checker is by opening up an Incognito window in Chrome. You can also clear cookies, but it won’t be long till the issue reappears.
Good luck
Ah, now that worked. I used Private Browsing in Safari and suddenly it’s all hunky-dory. Nice one!

I appreciate the offer but I need to play around with dates and destinations so we know what our options are for a winter break.

mefmef13 40 postsWhat’s the situation for the Plat insurance if a merchant (Wizz Air) won’t accept Amex?
Thanks
mefmef13 40 postsMy wife lost her medication earlier this week in a hotel room. (Hotel not being responsive as to whether it’s turned up). Any thoughts on whether Amex will cover the replacement cost? Had to get a $150 consultation before a pharmacist would dispense.
Thanks

mef17th March 2024 at 16:01 in reply to: BA Holidays double tier points offer – MASTER THREADmef13 40 postsOK, I’ve answered my own question. When you add the car after picking flights it flags the double Tier points.
mef17th March 2024 at 15:56 in reply to: BA Holidays double tier points offer – MASTER THREADmef13 40 postsTrying to book flight + car for Greece in May. The flights it’s defaulting to on the booking aren’t the ones I want. Any idea how to change this other than going through the main (non-holiday) web page and not having the deposit option?

So do you think that short haul Club Europe would get 2×40=80 one way?

Thanks!!

mef13 40 postsI absolutely would not be entrusting my wedding anniversary dinner and night to the TWA hotel unless your wife thinks a glass of wine in a plastic cup followed by a night in an overpriced Travelodge, that just happens to be next to JFK and admittedly is inside some amazingly cool architecture, is the business.
Message received and understood!
mef13 40 postsMy advice – stay in the hotel you’re already staying at (I’d assume somewhere in Manhattan) and taxi it to JFK on the morning of your flight.
You’ll have a far wider range of eating places to choose from.
This is sound advice. You’ll also be going against the traffic and the earlier start will further help adjust the body clock back to UK time.
The TWA Hotel looks too cool to miss now I’ve seen it!
19th September 2023 at 14:27 in reply to: Avios redemption costing more than cash flights?mef13 40 postsIt sounds a terrible deal, to be honest! You could maybe make that into a BA holiday and get double TPs, it might even be cheaper than booking the flights alone and if you decide you can’t travel you would only lose the deposit up to about 5 weeks before departure.
Agree with NL, that is no bueno. Have you checked Royal Jordanian with Avios. No 241 though.
Will check again but I think the answer is no unless I want to go via Frankfurt!
If I book a hotel with BA holidays, will I get the hotel nights and points in the relevant loyalty scheme?
Thanks, all

18th September 2023 at 21:13 in reply to: Avios redemption costing more than cash flights?mef13 40 postsI am in two minds. I will look at the holiday option. But I’m sitting on 400k avios and 300k Amex points, plus two 2-4-1 vouchers that go put in June 24 and Jan 25…

mefmef13 40 postsI didn’t know the Google search option, thanks. Looks like I was choosing expensive dates, will have to see what I can do!
Many thanksmef13 40 postsI have the bonus elite nights offer. Very pleased as I mucked up the accelerated Platinum status registration earlier this year and I was going to be a couple of nights short in all likelihood of meeting the threshold. This will get me over the bar, fingers crossed.
mefmef13 40 postsLGW-Kos on Saturday. Curtain and tables in all their glory. And a very good flight crew.

£80 off £800 “apple – iPhone” on BAPP. Historically generic apple gift cards have worked, but the offer hasn’t been worded as specifically as this one. YMMV.
.
The last offer was even more specific, saying iPhone 14, but worked on gift cards.
