I called the exec club this morning.
Cancelled for £35 per person.
E-mail received confirming the £30 refund I will get. Usual messaging around “upto 14 days” to receive the cash back.
Avios have appeared already.
It’s not like BAs IT to be incapable of working properly 😂

Just tried to cancel an avios CE RFS booking online.
It tells me I’m owed £0.00 + the avios and a 241 voucher, despite having paid 2 x £50 for the booking.
So they are trying to charge £50 per person cancellation.
I’ll call tomorrow instead and hopefully get it sorted quickly.
It’s only £30, but it’s the principle of the matter.

Just got the letter too. Not an actual loss for me as impossible to use.
But definitely a perceived loss. Coupled with the difficulties of using PP for lounge access, the card is getting less attractive for me.
Hopefully there will be a decent retention offer to sweeten the deal later in my card year.

I did the exact same thing in the past couple of days.
I processed it through the Natwest App and had no issue with entering my Amex card number.
It did trigger a Fraud Team call from NatWest who once they were satisfied, put me through to CS to process the balance transfer manually. Again no issue with the longer card number. It has all gone through now.
That is interesting. Has the money landed on Amex? I was told three times that the transfer was actioned manually, but days letter was neither bending on the RBS/NatWest side nor was landed on the Amex side, and when I spoke to the next person, he said that the BT did not work. Eventually I received a letter stating that although they believe the Amex transfer should work, it was not working for the card I provided (BA Amex PP). I then Called again and the guy on the phone after a long check, told me that Amex was now in the list of Merchant to which transfer would not work, I gave up…
Yes – landed a day later. It was on my BAPP too. Did you try and process the original transfer via the Nat West App? The IT is set up to allow the Amex card number.

Offered 35k MR on my Platinum Card via chat. Said I was disappointed as never had a retention bonus and told it’s based on spend.
Was quoted this “(35k MR = £157, over 25% of annual fee)” – I found their valuation interesting.
That’s based on their £4.50/1000MR statement credit burn rate – £157.50 to be precise.
Ahh – that makes sense Andrew. Just highlights the poor value of redeeming points in that way.

I dined at Duck and Waffle and received the credit. My bill was £111.I had to pay £60 deposit in advance and paid £51 after my meal. Only £51 was credited to my statement. I enquired with Amex via online chat. They told me that the £60 deposit was outside the t&c of the offer because it was paid via a payment processor but they would see what they could do. Around a week later the £60 was also credited to my statement.
I am currently facing the same issue with Yauatcha. I havent received credit for the £100 they charged us in advance. Complaint raised with Amex
I had the same issue KP – I raised it as an issue via chat, but need to follow up again.
