I particularly like the PK Restaurant at the Courtyard (Indian / Asian)

Can it be stacked with Heathrow Rewards, or is it one or the other?

The Welsh CS agents are very helpful.

I’m sure I’ve only ever spoken to Geordies! But equally very helpful!

Well 11 months after starting this thread I finally stayed at The Reach this week.

Overall a very good stay and would recommend, as long as the rate isn’t too over the top which I have seen on some dates.

Booked in to a regular double and it was very small- close to normal Moxy proportions. However the fit, finish and amenities were far better than a Moxy, and it was a lovely room. They have “cosy” rooms at a cheaper price point, they must be very small indeed!

Breakfast was good (welcome amenity as Platinum) and staff friendly and attentive.

I’m Platinum and it’s really hit and miss, and really depends on the brand. I wouldn’t have high hopes as Gold

Was there 4 nights last month, stayed at the Courtyard between Downtown and Pioneer Square – a pretty decent location all things considered. Walkable to both stadiums was a big bonus as I got my MLB and NFL fix.

Some groups of homeless round Downtown but no issues at all.

Really recommend the Beneath The Streets tour.

I’ve enjoyed a couple of long afternoons in there, and would happily have paid good money for the experience.

My overriding memory, however, is that the dining room is incredibly uncomfortable. The booth seating is firm and awkward, and without the structure of a normal chair, nor the relaxing qualities of softer lounge seating, is not an enjoyable place to sit for very long.

Is the feeling therefore that this is a typo rather than a genuine enhancement?

Easily saved an hour if not more arriving into Miami yesterday on VS5 by using the CBP MPC app.

The hardest thing was knowing what terminal letter we’d arrived at as there was no signage 😁

What does “Returning Visa Waiver Program Applicants” mean?

You’re there on an ESTA, and it’s not your first time on that ESTA, I think.

I have BAPP and Gold, and wanted the Marriott card. Didn’t bother with any checks just applied. Received email asking to call to discuss credit limit options in regard application. They wanted me to accept a £2.5K credit limit reduction on an existing card in exchange for considering the new application. Immediately agreed and asked them to reduce Gold limit rather than BAPP

Exactly the same for me – applied for Marriott card when already holding BAPP and Plat and I had to make £5k headroom from the others, but as soon as that was in the system it went straight through.

I think you’re over-thinking this one. Water and council tax are genuine bills paid to 3rd parties, so they should never be treated as ‘cash-like’ transactions by any card provider.

This sometimes happens when they’re loading offers … IHG and Marriott would be good 😜

    Marriott landed this morning already!

Is there a separate F lounge at BKK, or the same one as J?

    MF176 237 posts

35k offered without question, about 368 days after my last, with hardly any spends put through the card in that time other than dining, HN and using other offers.

Yes, no issues at all. Have you managed to add other MC cards to the new phone, or AMEX, Visa?

As many of you noticed, the ‘Quote’ button has not been working properly on mobile devices since a recent software upgrade by the vendor.

We have now fixed this by removing the installed Quote button on the dropdown menu and adding a standalone quote button under each reply.

If you click on this it will automatically add the quote to the reply box.

(You might find the colour / size / position of ‘Quote’ changing as we play with different layout ideas, but the button will remain.)

Thanks for your patience with this.

    Nice work, thanks Rob.

Can’t comment on Norway sorry, but there was definitely no transaction fee recently on Danish Krone, even though that’s not explicitly on the list. So my assumption would be Norway ok as also EEA.

On your return you’ll find the views from the lounge very agreeable (if you like planes and watching stuff happen) as it’s up in a control tower esq vantage point – one of my favourites.
