You’ll be fine. But can we stop talking about Curve. It helps no-one. Just find out first yourselves what works (then keep it to yourself).
+1 Too much information helps no one, only the card issuer

According to the agent…’set up nominee….create
unique password ….call us to make the booking, assuming seats etc are available……we can immediately see both accounts with vouchers …and can make the booking/s in one go…debit the Avios….pay your dues…and confirm to you immediate confirmation, of two separate bookings. ‘Seems to me this saves having to run two devices,(or one device and being very quick,) one for each account, and without the risk of losing, ‘ 2xCW seats left’, etc.
He said you should be able to do it on line, but would be a lot easier to call.

Cheers, a 1st for HfP. ?!

Thanks, but I think I caught something about wide open flights. Error or not, this is/was pretty important information which I was hoping to possibly take advantage of, but I guess all seats now gone.

It may have helped, to post Barclaycard questions, in the dedicated forum on here….next time.

Fair enough for the input. Regardless, Brighton council left with the problem.

Award Zones ? That goes back a bit in time….if only it were still that simple.
Mikeact 310 posts
I would, but he doesn’t know, popped up on an Aus site.

Thanks to both of you. Clarification may help one or two others on here….or maybe just me !

Thanks. When does the threshold start ticking…I assume on receipt of new card and activation ?
12th December 2024 at 18:08 in reply to: Booking return SYD-LHR post booking horizon using 2 Barclays vouchersMikeact 310 posts
We’re looking to do something similar. Two vouchers, one each.
But, according to @JDB, although the return is obviously not ex UK, it will be one ticket/booking per person.
The challenge will be in Aus to get home on the vouchers, a)getting 2xCW seats, and b)persuading the call centre to add them to our vouchers etc.
Not sure if anybody has any experience like this?Mikeact 310 posts
Curve currently working out why I cannot add my Avios B’card.
Their team called me a couple of times as I tried to add it, and they found the problem….at their end. Working fine now.

Does anyone know if there is anyway of transferring Virgin points to KLM flying blue account?
Of course not.
Mikeact 310 posts
After a lot of email hassle, with screen shots, between Virgin Wines and Red, (pass the parcel)…points have been awarded.

Virgin Wines formal offer on here, back in October. I can’t screen shot but you’ll find it if you search. If you didn’t take advantage, then obviously I wouldn’t expect you to know about it but for those that did…When you are pushed from pillar to post with two independent Virgin companies, Virgin Wines and Virgin Red. This was a Virgin Red offer….very clear. Virgin Wines tried to eventually be helpful but made it clear, ‘Not our problem…talk to Red.’ Final response as above, despite the offer being very clear, 50% off, Red or WHITE, free delivery,+ 3000 points. Couldn’t be much clearer.

Here is their reply this morning after much too and fro.
‘I can see you’ve purchased ‘Winebank Welcome White Case’ and this purchase does not qualify for the 3000 point offer’
Totally appalling service.
HfP should not promote these type of promotions.Mikeact 310 posts
What BA shows on the website is invariably nonsense. It’s one of many BA “quirks”.
But we had it reported that 24th to 31st of May would be peak dates. This prophecy appears to be very valid!

Thanks, maybe it’s time we had a BA ‘Quirks’ forum !

Plus some of the pricing shown is now out of date.

Suspected that would be the case. Still small charge but glad it’s gone up stop some of the “I’ll book multiple flights cause it’s basically free to cancel”[/quote]
Sorry, disagree. It can be difficult enough nowadays, to book popular destinations in Europe. If we can book 2/3 alternative return dates, gives us a lot more flexibility to extend by a few days or more etc. And I assume our cancellations go back into inventory.

Can you do cheap outbound and mix and match with avios inbound? I realise this is going to mean either transiting LHR (sad face) or hoping EI will produce some unicorn J seats but this is where the flexibility of using points might actually save the day.
Good luck getting Avios seats back from Orlando, particularly CW.
Jeez…..I cannot believe I am totally losing the plot. I was completely discounting the one person per voucher option. Not a lot else I can say. The last one I had, used as a one way for both of us and I guess that stuck in my mind….poor excuse though. Hopefully, Rob will feel free to delete this embarrassing ‘hoo-ha’ topic.
Not really sure what the ongoing issue is here. As said several times, you need two separate bookings, each for one person return using their respective vouchers.
While that is less optimal than a single booking most would not consider it a major problem, and is the only way to use two vouchers in separate accounts.
If in your particular circumstances you’ve ruled that out then you can’t use both vouchers or upgrade both ways.
OK then.
In my scenario above, 715976, how would you do it for CW, for both of us, out and back, using both our vouchers ?10th November 2024 at 13:10 in reply to: BA compensation for Brunch now Avios instead of cash voucherMikeact 310 posts
This is a decent read…read what we used to be given…(good old days !)
Flavour of Flight….The Food and Drink of British Airways
Thanks, again. Not quite sure what to do…just accept ‘the rules’,and move on. Can’t really think of any other quirk, particularly to get CW long haul back home, apart from a regular Avios redemption.
Having successfully done a couple of MultiCarrier awards, I might look at that option again, but again, not sure if BA would accept the first leg from London using the voucher.
