You will be asked to supply evidence & then you will wait for a reply. Normally an email, but ask them to also phone you.
You will eventually get your account reactivated & points corrected. Your flights though have gone.mrcrsearle 87 posts
The fraud dept will eventually email you.
If there is no fraud, it will get resolved & reinstated. Could take several weeks.mrcrsearle 87 posts
Hi
Are all four flights booked on different bookings? Are you flying?

Hi. Entitled to a refund? Did you get a refund on your original flight? As in cash & airmile part.
Who told you, you are entitled to a refund for the voucher? From what I know, there is no money value. Its simply a voucher you have earned.
I be shocked if you get anything, not even an extension.

Ive never seen a voucher in my account, but that doesnt mean you dont have one. Show on CC statement.
Just ring them up to confirm. No, if you cancel you still have the voucher. You have earned that voucher.

If these flights dont work for you, can you cancel for free & rebook with another airline?
Happened to me when flying to Vegas. Changed by 4 hours. I just sucked it, even though we lost half a day.

I recently booked two UC return London to Antigua using miles, money & 2 vouchers. Both expire Nov23 but travel is June24.
This question has been posted so many times on here. I guess it depends who you get through to a VA.

Great find! Took literally 2 mins to move small amount of points from partners to my account. Only 10k. Wonder if you moved 100k be as quick.

But… this had not always been the case.
I know it states in T&C’s this but my partner had a Nov23 expiration date of a voucher. Booked up & departure is June24. So booked within 24 months – but not departed.Previously when making a booking with reward voucher/companion was always departure flight had to be within 24 months of issuing reward.

I have it in writing from the VS twitter team (when they existed) that it’s “book by”
Virgin was correct in saying on your Twitter exchange that it is a ‘book by’ date, but they left off the rather crucial next part of the sentence from the terms, so it has no real value:-
“You can spend your reward for up to 24 months from the date it’s issued. That means you have to have booked your flights and taken the outbound flight within those 24 months. You can take the return journey afterwards.”
It would appear that during the pandemic, they were more flexible than the strict conditions, but now generally apply the T&Cs.[/quote]

Everytime I have asked this question or used a VA companion voucher it has always been departure date.
2 years to use it.My partner had a voucher which expires October this year…. But was allowed to book a March 2024 flight.

Hi John. When you arrive via taxi you check in & also go through passport control. Then walk through to the airport… few steps & then the lounge. Beauty of this is hassel free.
Why dont you just stay in the taxi & leave?

Ive just had my points converted into airmiles today.mrcrsearle 87 posts
Would of been easier for all of us if you had just said I sold 5 flights & been caught & suspended. How do I blag my way out of this? 😂😂

I got both. I always try with AA and when its declined I use my VA Mastercard. Unless youre a business owner I find it very difficult using my AA. Less & less shops take it. Even Ringo parking app stopped taking it. Local council too.
BA flight routes are so much better for most. Just wish Virgin would open up HK again or roll the dice on Bangkok.

Hi
Took about 2 months. Their fraud dept & customer service were professional. I wouldnt worry too much.. just wait for a reply.
mrcrsearle 87 posts
Have you given a reward voucher to someone & its been used? Given VA to someone ? If they think you have possibly sold these then your account will get closed.
mrcrsearle 87 posts
Your last question with regards to VA policy is very clear in terms & conditions.

I did a few months ago.
Fraud dept did get back to me & after few questions answered open my account.

Get what you pay for I guess.
Not everyone can afford PE or UC. I wouldnt fly economy long haul again but have done before. Virgin staff are always fantastic whatever cabin.

Maximum one every 12 months.
When you have spent the required amount it should show on your statement.Check your statement. If you cant be bothered, ring Flying club.
I have. Checked all spend and should be due another I think. Last one in April 22. But that might be the time from anniversary spend. I’ll have another go at analysing the monthly spend from the fee payment date before calling!
Thanks!

I thought it was for something a bit more substantial.
Hi
Whats the benefit to someone giving me a referral link? And what do I get out of it?
We’re all hoping it will give a free bottle of bubbly to the referer and referee………
