I already have the Platinum Charge and a PRGCC as well. Would I be able to upgrade the PRGCC to a Platinum Credit for the 40k and then downgrade back to PRGCC once the bonus posts?

Is there a way to challenge Barclays decision? Has anyone done so successfully?

I was wondering the same. I’ve had the rejection letter which has no contact info. I know some other providers do offer the opportunity to appeal.

Failing the above, I’ll try pinging them an email if anyone has a direct email address?

I just noticed this too. To be honest I don’t need to go through the whole cancellation route.

Happy to pay the £26 and keep the reservation. I was surprised the cash+points is pricing the points at approx 0.52p a point. Not far off the 0.45p when they run 80% points promos.

I just assumed points+cash would be a bad option til I checked as usually for Hilton it’s never been viable.

Just realised I don’t even need to do that. This gets me 5000 points at roughly 0.52p a point. Not far off the 0.45p when they run 80% buy points promos so I’ll just do that and keep the reservation.

Buying points at the moment without the promo is approx. 1p a point.

I just assumed IHG would be like Hilton when using points+cash til I checked. Hilton has never made sense to use the cash+points whenever I’ve checked.

So I was just looking at that. Do you mean, I saw that if I booked a cash and points rate, I’d get the cash element back in points so effectively I’ve “bought” the points.

So it’s 25,000 points per night or 20,000 + £26. If I book the cash+points and cancel, I’d be refunded 25,000 points so the 5000 points would have cost me £26.

Is this what you mean or something different?

Thanks Rob. I can’t seem to find anything about a discounted rate for extra guests online.

I am seeing some references of Cardholder + 2 guests per Amex Plat in Plaza Premium Lounges but I’m assuming this is a US perk?

    Thanks Jerry,

I know they don’t allow re-applications for 6 months so was going to wait to be safe. Was after an alternative for HMRC payments in the interim but haven’t come across anything yet.

Chase Debit has 1% back on “everyday spend”

I haven’t tried to with HMRC yet though. Maybe someone else has?

Which card or cards would you recommend as underlying payment for HMRC if using Curve Metal if COT is out of the question?

    Hi guys,

I’m wondering if there are any other cards that are good for HMRC payments through Curve?

I’ve not been incorporated long and I’m sure,I read somewhere that they won’t consider Ltd Co’s younger than 12 months.
