Excellent result yesterday! Ambassador membership due to expire on November 1st and weekend voucher still unused so contacted Ambassador services via chat. Outcome was that my membership was extended via the ‘once in a lifetime’ 6 month period along with my voucher. I now have a voucher that expires 30th April 2025. Result!!!
20th May 2024 at 15:06 in reply to: Virgin Voyages Master Thread (do NOT post referral codes – use other thread)Peeps 31 postsThanks guys – I finally managed to get Sailor Services to allocate me a cabin for my next cruise. I really don’t know why I initially ended up with the ‘guarantee’ category though as I booked on the first available day!
19th May 2024 at 19:15 in reply to: Virgin Voyages Master Thread (do NOT post referral codes – use other thread)Peeps 31 postsI’m just checking if anyone who has booked a cruise with the most recent Virgin Points offer has been allocated a cabin/deck number? I have a med cruise booked for 4 weeks time and still no cabin number allocated.
I reached out to sailor services and the response was as follows:
‘At this time, we don’t have a specific cabin number to assign you. Cabin assignment can be given to you from any time between 48 hours to 2 hours. It can be anywhere on board and can be assigned at any point before your voyage starts.’
This is certainly different to my previous experiences – two previous ‘points’ cruises had immediate cabin allocations as has my ‘paid’ cruise for this September.

I did mine on Thursday evening and it came through at 5pm yesterday. Fingers crossed that yours will arrive this morning!

Had 2 for the 160k point promotion just after midnight today but no sign of the 120k one I booked first that goes in 2 weeks of course.
Always the way! Good luck with receiving it soon!

Peeps 31 posts‘How do you manage to apply the Voyageur discount to the Sofitel parking packages, can only seem to apply it to the room only/B&B rates.’
Sorry accidentally reported your reply!
I meant to respond that I realised you are correct. I booked the room separately with Voyager discount and then added parking at the hotel.
Peeps 31 postsTo add it’s 15% off for Platinum and above. I am not sure 5% discount every time is worth €199 a year.
Yes, I can see your point but still useful for me at this point. It has paid for itself but I may reconsider when I achieve platinum.
Peeps 31 postsVoyager is still useful for me! For example, I’m getting a 20% discount off an upcoming 4 day stay at Sofitel Istanbul equating to a saving of more than £250 plus I’ll be saving on the pre-flight stay (and parking) at Sofitel Heathrow. One short break is returning more than the card fee ……. horses for courses!
You are only getting extra 10% discount. All members Silver or above get 10% off public rate.
True – stand corrected!

Peeps 31 postsAlso, I forgot to mention that I already have ‘Voyager’ and that has combined with ‘Signature’ with no problems.
Peeps 31 postsFor anyone who is considering buying ‘All Signature’, I bit the bullet yesterday and took the quarterly subscription option. I used an fx free card to eliminate additional charges for Brazilian Reals so the actual charge for 3 months was £269.69. It proved to be relatively easy to do considering Accor’s glitchy IT – used google translate on browser and the transaction went through in seconds with the upgraded ‘status’ including the first monthly batch of points visible on refresh.
I reasoned that it would be a no brainer for me at this point in time – even without an additional offer on the subscription. It gives me the ability to ‘purchase’ more Accor points at a discounted price and, more importantly, the ability to reach Platinum status without much effort. Up until now, IHG has been my hotel chain of choice but the loss of a UK credit card has made me look in other directions and Accor is proving to be an attractive alternative.27th February 2024 at 07:49 in reply to: Virgin Voyages not returning to Australia later this yearPeeps 31 postsYes, I saw this news last night but it looks like the UK to Barcelona cruise is still sailing – fingers crossed!
Peeps 31 postsSeems to be working fine on my Safari browser.

29th May 2023 at 20:29 in reply to: Virgin Voyages refer a friend codes ONLY (no discussion)Peeps 31 postsHi, I’m not absolutely sure because I didn’t bother last time but I think that you are supposed to do your booking through the link. However, some people report that it can be done after booking by ‘chat’.
Think we need each others names to do it, and possibly booking ref, altho im sure the referral link is probably enough, not sure if you wanna email me so that we can sort it?

Thanks!Hey, I’m on the same cruise, do you know how we can link our bookings for any referral bonus? I posted a referral link earlier if you know how to do it.
Sorry but not absolutely sure because I didn’t try on my last cruise. I think you should do it at the booking stage but some are reporting that it can be done via chat.

Thanks!14th February 2023 at 09:05 in reply to: Post new Amex statement credit offers here!Peeps 31 postsI have noticed a spend £150 to get £30 rebate on my Platinum Card at The Ivy Asia. Does Ivy Asia trigger the Local Dining Credit because I also have a spend £120 to get £20 rebate at The Ivy?
14th January 2023 at 22:49 in reply to: Unable to link Amex Membership Rewards account to Virgin AtlanticPeeps 31 postsWell my problem was actually caused by an error on my part. I believed that the emails matched but I had used a different email for Virgin. A simple change of email address on my Virgin account and a 24 hour wait to try again solved my problem. Hope you get yours sorted soon.
13th January 2023 at 11:07 in reply to: Unable to link Amex Membership Rewards account to Virgin AtlanticPeeps 31 postsMy problem was solved by an email account change. My membership rewards account kept rejecting the link because of a mismatch in the email addresses.

18th September 2022 at 14:11 in reply to: Referral bonus following initial refusal of Amex cardPeeps 31 postsYes, I can! My OH was unexpectedly turned down and we realised that the issue was probably an unused BA card with a credit limit of £19,000. Her credit scoring was 999 out of 999!
We cancelled the unused card and rang back to ask for a review. Within 2 days she received acceptance and card 2 days later. I was amazed to discover the referral bonus in my account the same day 👍😊
