I loved the falls, if I went again I’d spend at least three nights there.
Richie 1,178 postsIs the Hilton Garden Inn at the airport a possibility?
12th March 2022 at 10:34 in reply to: BA Holidays double tier points offer – MASTER THREADRichie 1,178 postsIf you use the create trip function and fly to Madrid, stay 3 nights, then get the AVE to Seville, stay 2 nights and then fly back to London, does this qualify for Double TPs?
Richie 1,178 postsThere are some Accor Hotels near Feria de Madrid metro station which is good for T4/T4S.
Richie 1,178 postsThanks, I’ll give them a go.
Richie 1,178 postsBTW They don’t honour their gurantee, ok if you need points and wine for cooking.
Richie 1,178 postsI’d just wait and see what response you get from CEDR.
Richie 1,178 postsIf you are time rich, there’s all kinds of possibilities.

Richie 1,178 postsThe A359 will have the better air cabin pressure and you’ll recover better from the flight.

Richie 1,178 postsI cancelled an Avios booking today and now have an FTV, is it likely to be refunded soon?
If it is for a lot of cash, no – BA likes to keep it…..
Are BA obliged to get in touch with the NBSU when they decide to hold on to money for too long?

Richie 1,178 postsFlight too short for the A350’s large Club cabin is my guess.
13th February 2022 at 20:40 in reply to: BA Holidays double tier points offer – MASTER THREADRichie 1,178 postsI looked at a 5 night flight+hotel holiday to the Canary Islands, which included a BA codeshare flight from Madrid to TCI, it was not highlighted so I didn’t book it. It did technically conform to the Ts & Cs, I didn’t book it because I didn’t want to risk not getting the TPs.
13th February 2022 at 18:46 in reply to: BA Holidays double tier points offer – MASTER THREADRichie 1,178 postsIf the ‘double tier points’ offer in red isn’t shown on ba.com on the right hand side in the list of possibilities, then you aren’t going to get the TPs.

Richie 1,178 postsIf you have time and fancy a few more Tier Points, consider routing via Madrid on Iberia on their A359 aircraft.
Richie 1,178 postsSave for the tips in this post- which seem to apply mainly to the US but I presume work globally- does anyone have any UK specific tips?
I need to rent a car for a month in April (on a CA license if that makes any difference). We will need to collect from LHR but can either drop off after four weeks at LHR or drop off after 2.5 weeks in downtown Southampton (not at the airport). I’ve been trawling various sites this afternoon and I am getting some crazy prices.
Easirent are the cheapest but I have never heard of them and fear they are rather like Fox in the US.
Any UK specific tips/comments would be appreciated.
Check more locations that are possible, including SOU airport. Avoid easirent and green motion. Also consider splitting the period up, the latter weeks are not the Easter holiday period and demand should be lower.
Richie 1,178 postsI hired a car recently that only had a usb c socket to charge a smartphone, I’m now going to get a new charging lead to avoid being caught out.

Richie 1,178 postsI wouldn’t drive, terrible roads and those hideous sharp speed control ramps.
