There’s a very good restaurant nearby. Altea is interesting. If you’ll need a taxi and have never used Cabify in Spain before, you could check if the avios promotion still works
Richie 1,178 postsI’ve studied this recently and my view is BA because the cabin is bigger with more rows with more choice of good seats. On AA you’re more likely to end up with a seat near the loo, or near bassinet positions. This applies to AA B77W aircraft which are operated on this route and BA B772 & W aircraft.

Richie 1,178 postsTry one ways through your Exec Club account on ba.com using the three letter airport codes.
23rd January 2022 at 08:55 in reply to: BA Holidays double tier points offer – MASTER THREADRichie 1,178 postsI looked at a holiday that included LPA-MAD Iberia Express operated flights with BA flight numbers, wasn’t included in the offer.
18th January 2022 at 08:17 in reply to: BA delayed flight compensation refused – what next?Richie 1,178 postsIf the delay was around 180 minutes and not 186 minutes or more, I wouldn’t bother. With the service failures argue for some Avios.
17th January 2022 at 22:12 in reply to: Lagos (Nigeria, not Portugal!) accomodation recommendationRichie 1,178 postsI don’t like the changing wind direction situation, so would check the reviews thoroughly.
Richie 1,178 postsI loved Cartagena, a roof top pool and bar would be really good, there’s a good number of options. Enjoy your trip.
Richie 1,178 postsI thought the Count to Christmas promotion was good, something similar for Shrove Tuesday/Carnival and Easter would also be good.
Richie 1,178 postsPullman perhaps.

If you are time rich you could have a read of the Civil Procedure Rules for the small claims track.Richie 1,178 postsI’ve read that their new A350s have 14 or so UC seats instead of 44, which is concerning for rewards availability!
Virgin Atlantic’s website clarifies the seating variations which should allay your concerns.
Richie 1,178 postsOman maybe.
Richie 1,178 postsThere’s an Uber pick up zone at the airport, I arrived on AA on a domestic flight from Miami though.
Richie 1,178 postsIf you’re east of Trafalgar square, perhaps not too far from an Elizabeth line station.
Richie 1,178 postsThe Virgin website details the registration details of their A350s, just put the registration details into flightradar24 to see what the current flights are.

3rd January 2022 at 17:08 in reply to: What do you want to see from British Airways in 2022?Richie 1,178 postsA220’s please! If they’re even attempting to carry on competing in gatwick they’ll need to get ahead of Easyjet, its only a matter of time…
The amount of flight bookings they could gain just from the nicer experience. So too sensible for BA, oh well…
So Gatwick to have an all A220 fleet in the longer term, with no A320s and no B737 MAX?
3rd January 2022 at 15:24 in reply to: What do you want to see from British Airways in 2022?Richie 1,178 postsOrder A220 aircraft, acquire more A380s, retire B772s quicker, refurbish B788/9s and A380s with a ‘wider’ 2-4-2 separate economy seats with extra legroom. Order A351s with a premium configuration including First and wider 2-4-2 separate economy section as well as 3-3-3 standard economy.

Richie 1,178 postsThe Manchester short-haul flights were operated by BA Cityflyer mainly because BACF can’t operate from LCY between lunchtime on Saturday to lunchtime on Sunday, it has a large fleet of aircraft, so this lack of utilisation of aircraft is significant. BACF currently have weekend flights from SOU for S22, but with Ryanair expanding at BOH, who knows how long flights from SOU will last.
31st December 2021 at 15:59 in reply to: What’s the quickest way to earn Bronze status in BA Executive Club?Richie 1,178 postsCarnival in Spain with a flight and hotel deal, you could do four sectors via Madrid. Check Iberia.com as well.
31st December 2021 at 11:58 in reply to: Anyone got a seat map for a British Airways 777 with Club Suite?Richie 1,178 postsIf going for a shortish trip where you don’t really switch your body clock over to local time, I can see the daytime flight from JFK-LHR in F class could be very pleasant, depending on how time rich/poor you are.

30th December 2021 at 12:22 in reply to: Difference with AA vs britishairways.com Avios availability for AA flights?Richie 1,178 postsIf you can’t book a cash fare LHR-MIA-RTB on BA.com, then it may be a BA.com problem and you may need to call.
30th December 2021 at 08:26 in reply to: Hilton Bankside or Conrad St. James? Which is best?Richie 1,178 postsI like walking along the South Bank, Borough Market and Bermondsey St restaurants, so it’d be Bankside for me.
