Was thinking of taking advantage of the 12% bonus offer with Gift Card Store but seems like the the maximum amount per voucher is just under £99. Was thinking of taking advantage of the discount to fund the purchase of a Macbook Air for a Christmas present but the thought of having to present 10 or so vouchers at once is putting me off – anyone had any issues with using multiple one4all cards at once? Thanks.
I can’t even get one to work reliably never mind 10!

Just hand it over at the till and say it’s a Visa Debit card. No apps required. I’ve gone through thousands in O4A cards had no idea there was an app, and never done anything apart from check the odd balance on one by putting in the number on the website. I generally write the current balance on the back of the card in felt tip pen.
That does rely on you having a physical card rather than the digital ones we keep being given at work
11th December 2024 at 14:44 in reply to: Gift cards – best way to stack offers for a discount?rickla 13 posts12% giftcardstore dot uk on one4all gc. minimum £50. Used many a time so reliable.
Potentially convertible to Amazon, asda, sainsbobs by using the gc at boots/wh smith and getting everywish gcs. YMMV on the latter.
In my (limited) experience, those oneforall giftcards can be a pain in the neck to use – or at least it was difficult at my local Boots to use one to get a different gift card.

rickla 13 posts@NorthernLass the Avanti Superfare offers are pretty reasonable if you are not after specific train times. You can specify morning, afternoon or evening. £22 each way from Preston to Euston.
Still with Avanti unfortunately – Virgin service was much better and more reliable. (Though they seem to be getting plenty of hate for their airline at present).rickla 13 postsAnything interesting there that cannot be found on TopCash/Quidco/PerksAtWork?
Other than £3 sign up bonus..Maybe since Topgiftcards have stopped accepting Amex, Jam Doughnut is an alternative for supermarket credit?
rickla 13 postsReigniting this thread as we are now booked to go to Iceland this November for 8 days. We are hiring a 4×4 and staying in hotels/b&bs along the way. The loose itinerary is to spend the first 5 days heading towards the Diamond Beach and then back towards Reykjavik from there.
We are catching the 7.30(ish) BA flight from LHR, which means we get the first “full day” of daylight – all 5 hours of it. First 2 nights will be spent near Selfoss. Then a night near Vik, then 2 nights near the Diamond Beach. Then last 2 nights in Reykjavik.
We are first timers to Iceland. Very excited. I will report back after. Any tips in the meantime, please let me know. We haven’t booked the Blue Lagoon, but plan to for the journey back to the airport. We also plan to do at least one ice cave hike, as we are in to our hiking.
If you’re into hiking and staying near Vik – I highly recommend looking at the Fimmvorduhals trail starts next to Skogafoss only 20 mins from Vik. Not sure you will be able to do the whole hike in November due to snow or ice, but the first few miles could be doable.
Also worth looking at the Secret Lagoon instead of/in addition to the Blue Lagoon – much cheaper and not as fancy, but seems to be where a lot of the locals go.
It’s an amazing country.rickla 13 postsThere is a £50 cashback if you spend £250 at Hertz available on some cards (it’s on my PRGC) at the moment, so if you have that on your Platinum or BAPP and your hire period is long enough to cost £250, then that might be a good option?
Sadly UK only.
Apologies – I should have read your comment re. the FX.

I guess there is a direct Aer Lingus flight to MAN as well.29th May 2024 at 19:13 in reply to: One way flight New York to UK – Avios or Amex points – avoid APD/fuel surchargesrickla 13 postsYou pay RFS fees on BA, so as low as £50 in economy. I say this a lot but the day time flight in economy for 25k avios and £50 is the way to go!
*If you’re eligible for RFS, of course.
Many thanks – is that 25k Avios +£50 for a flight from New York to London on BA?
