    Yep, you earn tier points on QR.

    I went out on QR to Manila via Doha 2 weeks ago and received the 280 TP and Avios 4 days after the last flight arrived.

    I flew back to London on Friday and still waiting, but expect them mid week all going well.

    I’ve had a few cases damaged in transit. One in the US upon landing and a couple after landing in the UK.

    All painless – the US one saw a new case that I picked from a web site delivered to my hotel in a couple
    Of days. The UK instances resulted in replacement cases sent to my home address.

    Key is to see a service rep at the airport and let them confirm the damage. Once you get a reference number it seems to be a decent service (in my experience anyway).

    I had to do this recently and called the Australia call centre number. It was handled in India and I managed to book the return tickets I was after.

    Not sure what your budget or points pot is looking like, but we stayed at Resorts World last year on a 5 nights for 4 points booking. No resorts fee with points and although a little out of the strip central vicinity, it is a fabulous hotel. It has 3 Hiltons on the property. I’d recommend that if you can make it work.

    Thanks all. Looked at the Aerolopa plan and indeed 56 J is right next to lavatory.

    53 / 59 are all gone already. I’ve switched to 10B. Thanks again.

    I called the Australia number earlier in the week for this reason and the call was handled in India, but only 2 hours into shift.

    When logged into your BA account, go to contact numbers and select Asia / Australia numbers to call. That would be my advice as they are just starting their day.

    I called at 11.40 and had everything lined up with 5 mins to spare.

    I’m the same. I am a dual rewards customer and receive the £5 credit to my bank account each month. When I am in DragonPass, my entitlements show 0 as a BarclayCard Avios Plus account holder.

    No idea also how to go about sorting this out.

    You don’t get them via email. You sign into the Dragonpass Premier+ app and the free passes show up in the membership tab (under the “dual rewards” heading)

    Gah, I don’t have this ‘dual rewards’ heading at all (and I am indeed a dual rewards member). I just see ‘Your entitlements’ which reads ‘Barclaycard Avios Plus’ with Cardholder/Guest free pass showing zero.

    I wonder who do I bug about this…

    My Avios arrived from the BC Avios Plus account this morning. If you are looking in the BA App, try refreshing your account screen / transaction screen a couple of times.

    I can’t answer re the dates for outbound travel (I think it is ‘before’ though. I also believe you are good for both applying to inbound as only the first leg needs to be taken prior to the voucher expiry.

    You could book your inbound flights online, if you have enough Avios to cover all 4 flights without the companion voucher reduction. You can then call later on to have the 50% reduction applied to the inbound redemption. I’ve done this successfully in the past and am about to do it again in a week for 4 seats where the outbound is booked with 2 x companion vouchers. I have seen others say that some call centre agents won’t do the 50% reduction/refund though, so perhaps HUACA may be needed.

    I ordered 3 lots back in Oct 22. I can still see the option in my Exec Club, but it tells me I can’t order any more in the current year.

    Can you not see the option at all?

    I have a 29 day car hire booking for Miami in July & August this year. Been keeping an eye on prices and I booked with Hertz / Amex Platinum pre Christmas for £2525, pre paid. Cheapest Avis price was £3200. This is for a 7 seat luxury SUV.

    Checked this morning and the price with Avis is still the same, but Hertz has gone down to £2150 for pre paid. Cancelled and rebooked to save £375. Working out at £75 per day which I reckon is decent.

    I’ve used both Avis & Hertz plenty of times for both work & holidays in the US, and find that despite having Avis Presidents Circle and Hertz Gold 5 star, both give you little customer service at airport locations. Not sure if I have been unlucky or not, but picked up from several airports and have had the same experience everywhere.

    For my bookings, using 2 x companion vouchers, it is 200,00 Avios and £900 each way. I’ve booked the outbound and waiting to book the inbound.

    I’ll book the inbound for 400k Avios then hope to have 200k refunded afterwards.

    If I land at 400k Avios and £1800 for 4 x Club return at Christmas to/from the Caribbean, I’m more than happy with that.

    Thanks, I looked for the T&C and couldn’t find it!

    I’ve had breakfast for 4 people in 2022 at Hotel Indigo Durham & Dundee plus IC in San Francisco & LA. They were all 2 x rooms with 2 people per room. Mixture of cash and points bookings.

    Bringing this back to life – was just called by IHG stating that the CP at MAN isn’t opening back up to the public. My bookings for March 2023 are therefore cancelled.

    No assistance with rebooking other hotels is available, just a straight cancel.

    Enjoy. I reckon the restaurant breakfast in Hilton Sydney is the best one I’ve had personally in the Hilton group anywhere. Does get busy on a weekend but can always get a table.

    I’m back at the Hilton Sydney with work and the setup here works well for Diamonds.

    You can take breakfast in the Exec Lounge or you get full access to the buffet & made to order items in the Glass restaurant. It’s AUD$45 normally for the buffet, and it’s huge plus very good quality.

    We are here now, same as above but Exec lounge much quieter and almost same menu apart from a la carte egg options. Melbourne was continental only in the restaurant.

    Hi, this does indeed work.

    I’ve done it myself a few times previously and I plan to do it in a week or so as I’ve just booked outbound flights to the Caribbean. My plan is to book the 4 seats with Avios once released and then have them combined the next day for a refund of 50% Avios.

    I’m not sure if there are tax refunds due with recent changes, will find out in a week I guess.

    I have a good track record of free upgrades this past year, across Indigo and other brands in the group. I normally book 2 rooms as both kids are teenagers now so figured take my chance with free upgrade and use the F&B credits to keep them from their permanent hunger!

    Yep, +1 for me too. Just selected the lounge membership and 5 x F&B credit.

    Now have 9 credits to use, hope they are usable soon!

    Good luck – I’m watching flights to the Caribbean for next Christmas and they are also snapped up fast. I need to book ours in 4 days time so will be calling up and trying to hold an operator on the call to grab them.

    You get 2 tags when you order either the tag itself or the card and tag.

    I ordered mine a month ago and they arrived within the week. I requested both options to cover multiple suitcases.

    You need to wait 24h between each order though.

    +1 here. I had 4 x F&B rewards in my wallet and 2 milestone rewards still to choose and activate.

    All have gone upon checking today.
