I don’t know how accurate this website is, but seems to have a handy reference table to determine which (if any) 261 regulation applies.

Luxury escapes, spend £1k get £200 back, seen on Amex Plat.
Not sure if accumulative spend counts.

It would take an article in a major newspaper before they take any action.
Already appeared in a few – nothing much done so far:

Amateur hour at Nectar:
I contacted Nectar to enquire as to whether or not my account had actually been closed, since I had received no email confirmation.
They confirmed it had indeed been closed.
I asked why I hadn’t received an email or text confirming this. They said no such process exists, and that only Nectar can deactivate accounts after customer verification on the telephone << not true.
Nectar really couldn’t see the issue here.
Easy account deactivation + no customer notification = scammer paradise

I don’t use Nectar in any meaningful way, so my personal preference is to close my account.
Nectar didn’t send an email or a 2FA to verify, or even an email to acknowledge that I had closed my account.

Data point:
Last day of BAH final segment flown on 17/11, double TP posted today 24/11
One week wait.

@davedent, did you do this run in the sweet spot of the TP collection year (as in, the part of the year that gets you almost 2 years of status)?
yes absolutely 🙂
That’s good because that would be a lot of work for just one year! 🙂

Saw this text on the BA website when looking at BAH:
Offer 1: Black Friday Offer: £50 Saving incl. Book by 27 Nov
Offer 2: Black Friday Offer: £100 Saving incl. Book by 27 Nov
I don’t know what the threshold is as to which point the offer changes from the £50 to £100

The Melia BF website doesn’t tell you when the applicable/qualifying dates are (or at least, I can’t readily see it), so it seems you have to search and search until the website throws something up.
On the home page, in the Black Friday banner at the top, click ‘learn more’.
On the next page click ‘see conditions’In addition to the list of participating properties it states:
“Booking period: 17/11/2023 – 26/11/2023
Stay period: 17/11/2023 – 20/12/2024*”That’s great! Thanks!

Signed up for BAPP card with the 70k bonus point.
Specifically used the Amex website link.
They are now saying they’ve no record of me using that link.
I 100% did.
They are at it.
Anyone else having this issue?I thought people had to use the link on the BA page to get the 70k offer?
Or did they change this?

If you are going to lie at least make it credible for those of us here.
the use of all three major alliance logos side-by-side on the website cannot possibly be legit. Then again, there’s a free trial… anyone want to take one for the team, and try with a disposal card number?
Off you go then, @memesweeper 😉
I wonder what @Rob & co make of this?
This would make a great exposé article if it turns out to be scam (or indeed, a future partnership in the making if not)!

It looks like there is only now one review?!
The negative one has been removed.

Ah, that’ll be it – so BA IT is not to blame (and therefore off the hook today 😀 )
Thank you – I will try AA.

I’ve tried again.
Mission: Price up NYC area to LAX or SFO or even SEA for next year.
Outcome: Denied“Sorry there are no flights”
I would prefer BA, but their limited website means I am now considering defecting to another airline.
