Sorry if I didn’t make myself clear. the 2 4 1 will also involve the wife. But pricing up on me .
It is as easy for us to get to Dublin as it is LHR
SteveR 71 postsDub – LHR is shown as Aer Lingus then BA across the pond. The DUb LHR on its own is £20,00 ok doesn’t include suitcase
It allowed me to use my 2 4 1 voucher in the dummy booking (Hadn’t realised at first & thought that’s not a bad price)
SteveR 71 postsYes sitting in my BAEC a/c
SteveR 71 postsAnyone know an easy way of finding Aer Lingus Avios flights business class
SteveR 71 postsWill the companion voucher still be valid for two years, confused by the small print
SteveR 71 postsLooks like loads of UC availabilty to Mexico City next July with Virgin
SteveR 71 postsThis is what I was looking into a few days ago.
Note of caution Read the small print. The companion voucher will only be valid for one year Yes /No
If you have already reached the £10,000 spend threshold, you may receive a Companion Voucher that is valid for 12 months, rather than 24 months. If you would like to extend the validity of the Companion Voucher to 24 months, please contact British Airways customer service directly and they will look into extending the validity of the Companion Voucher for you.
30th August 2024 at 09:53 in reply to: Post your British Airways Premium Plus retention offers!SteveR 71 postsPhoned up to downgrade & was told you have to apply online for a new card & the system will pick up you have an existing card!!
Seems very bizarre
29th August 2024 at 10:11 in reply to: Post your British Airways Premium Plus retention offers!SteveR 71 postsTook the BAPP card out in May, triggered the 60K bonus & 2 4 1, which are both in my Ba A/C. Currently have 5.5k sitting, waiting to be transferred.
Should I wait until the 5.5k are in my Avios a/c before contacting them to ask to move down to the free Amex card and see what they offer
Another 10k in Avios for £5k spend is worth keeping the card for
SteveR 71 postsWhat I did notice is that it is only the points in the current period that are automatically converted. So if you have a load of vouchers sitting there they are not converted
SteveR 71 postsVirgin confirmed by email latest 29th August
SteveR 71 postsYep that is what we did before, that is why an absolute gimme.
To make it even better we used the free hotel shuttle bus, with overnight bag, saving $20 plus on parking

23rd July 2024 at 10:36 in reply to: Carrier imposed surcharge ex Dublin more than doubledSteveR 71 postsDid a dummy booking DUB – LHR – MCO and JFK 28 jun 24 – 15/7
Wanted to see what the savings would be for starting from Dublin, as in planing stage for 11 months time
Looking at my notes Taxes Fees etc economy 338 euros UC 541 euros
Of the 541, 400 were carrier imposed
23rd July 2024 at 08:13 in reply to: Carrier imposed surcharge ex Dublin more than doubledSteveR 71 postsThe route was Dub – LHR with EI – MCO / JFK VA
Had previously checked about 6 weeks ago re the upgrade Rang the call centre who were fine doing the LHR – MCO / JFK for 70,000 points & roughly £200 – The cash price for the economy ticket from Dub was about the same as from LHR
The pain was you had to fly back to Dublin, you couldn’t fly back into Manchester

SteveR 71 postsThanks for everyone’s input
SteveR 71 postsTricks for mixing & matching either straight through with couple of hours stopover or a layover of a few days.
Not bothered if we fly East or West

19th May 2024 at 16:41 in reply to: Collect 60,000 bonus Avios on BA Amex Premium PlusSteveR 71 postsMeant to add 60k for £3k spend in three months
19th May 2024 at 09:10 in reply to: Collect 60,000 bonus Avios on BA Amex Premium PlusSteveR 71 postsI have received the email from BA
60,000 Avios. Exclusively yours.
You must apply using the link in this email before 11 June 2024. If you apply through other channels you may receive a lower offer.
Very tempted to apply as I know I have a couple of bills to pay that will exceed to £3K requirement.
My question is if I have a lower limit, can I pay one bill, immediately pay that off then pay the other one, would that work for the bonus assuming can be done
