The flight I’m looking at showing as business classic award on the Qantas site. But those details bring no flights up on BA.

So there is a 30 day limit from what I understand.

So if I was to leave the UK on the 6th October 2024 and Fly back from Hong Kong on the 3rd November 2024. Landing on the 4th November which would be 30 days. Or as th return flight leaves on the 3rd could I leave the UK on the 5th October as this would be 30 days from when the return flight departs?

Just want to make sure I still qualify for double tier points.

    Thanks

Found a flight from Stockholm with only 45 min stopover. Does not seem very long for an international transit. Anyone experienced such a short stop over.

I’m booking for October next year. Nothing major if not. Just trying to avoid the long layover as far as I can tell only allowed in the lounge for 6 hours. Also I think currently the other flights have Q Suites on the doh – dps leg so maybe that’s why redemptions are not as readily available.

Do the 5 nights have to be all in one destination?

I have 200k in Avios but struggling with flights to Australia. So I’m thinking doing it another way. So if I book a BA holidays package. First to Doha in premium economy and stay a night. Then is Air miles to get to Australia as availability seems better for Business. Then while in Australia book a few nights in Sydney and a few in Melbourne. Use the airmiles for internal flights and a flight to HKG. Then book a night or 2 in Hong Kong followed by a Business class flight back from Hong Kong. So total hotels on the booking would be 6/7 nights just over multiple cities. The rest of my stays in Australia are at friend’s house.

Would I then qualify for the double tier points. So 90 for the Doha and 160 for Hong Kong. Meaning would have 500 tier points. Then would just need to make up another 100 to get Silver.

Maybe I will try to Bali on way out then. Then maybe Singapore/Hong Kong on way back. Pretty flexible. Hopefully that goes in my favour.

I’m looking at going to Australia next October. Dates are flexible so is where I land and depart as plan on going Brisbane, Golf Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Just hoping can get a business class redemption with Qatar. I think will book each way separately to maximise my chances. Anyone know what the cancellation charges are on Qatar Avios bookings? Just in case.

In that case will look at buying the difference in Avios instead. The yearly subscription for 100000 is only £899 compared with £1615 buying them outright. Have 100000 miles already so would have enough for a Qatar redemption to Perth. Thanks for the quick responses.

What would be the easiest and cheapest way to get silver via the BA holidays double tier points offer. I have been looking at going in first to Dubai for 6 nights. About £3300. Which I think would get me silver in one trip. But has anyone got any other ideas that could be done cheaper? Could be done over 2 trips don’t mine.

Don’t forget you need 4 BA flights in addition to the tier points required, so a return direct flight to Dubai in First wouldn’t get you silver in one trip.

4 flights is not an issue. As have a trip to Scotland before this trip. Just wonder if any ideas for trips that would be slightly cheaper. Even if over 2 periods?
