So far an OK experience for me. Short delay receiving card but set up, website and app one of the better card experiences that I have had.

As for World Elite, does seem strange that Barclays launch a card without clarity on this, but as I didn’t take World Elite into account in my decision to apply, happy to wait and see.

Agreed. I’ve no idea what the benefits will be and I didn’t sign up for them. Be a bonus if some extra benefits come along but I’m not expecting them..

Mine turned up..easy to set up in the app and was up and running in minutes. Paid my annual council tax bill and a few others. I’m already half way to the upgrade voucher 🙂

The only downside so far is it doesn’t work with Google Pay on my phone.. but otherwise pretty seamless.

So any tips if travelling CE from T5 to TFS during the Easter holidays with my family? If I do whatever Verifly needs with hand luggage only can I go straight to security or are there some manual checks that need to be done first?

Nothing for me – had my card years and never asked for a retention offer. Tried via chat and they point blank refused to offer me anything.

Going here next month on the intern points rate 🙂

What’s the intern points rate? Sounds like something I need to know about!

Is this targeted? I checked my gold charge card account and couldn’t see the promo.

I can’t really say anything positive about HSBC right now… they are clearly still stuck a few centuries behind modern banking. Can’t upgrade/downgrade a product based on a simple online form (or a telephone call) and have to send out glossy brochures, rather than get people to use online banking. Despite the objections on here, I might not be wasting my time with these people much longer.

Gosh, yes. Opening my Premier account was one of the most painful exercises of my life. It quite literally took me months of being shoved from pillar to post. And nobody seemed to be able to tell me how to open the account. I recall I got stuck in an infinite loop. Urgh. They haven’t been too bad since..but there was nothing premium about the sign up experience!

V useful thread because I am looking for somewhere in Brum for a family weekend! AC sounds good. Any views on the Clayton?
