To do online checkin you need to fill in VeriFLY just download app and put your details on there. You can add all your travelling companions on one form. I found it easier to do on iPad for some reason it wouldn’t accept photo on iPhone, but that is probably just me.

They are 15 & 17 I’d of been mortified at that age having to sit with mum and dad. Your 17 year old can get married and join the army. Give them the responsibility of being able to take care of themselves.
They will have to hurry to get married – from next Feb you will need to be over 18, no exceptions (ie parental consent). You need parental consent to join the Army under 18.
More importantly, we find travelling together as a family to be an enjoyable experience and I can’t imagine how I would feel (and my wife even more so) in the unlikely event of an incident with the aircraft and I couldn’t see my children as they were in a different class.
My brothers and I were certainly never mortified travelling with our parents; it was a privilege. I can see that today, for some, the children are just an accessory and screens do the parenting which is a bit sad and definitely not allowed in our family.
You are funny with your posts JDB.

I don’t know for 100% certain but I think the answer is yes he/she will need a PCR test.
I’ve just come back from Dubai and have a 12 year old son. When I did the verifly check in for the flight I had to scan the QR code on his covid pass letter. I think we also showed the vaccination letter when going through immigration.
He also got charged adult prices at most places we went as he was 12.
I wouldn’t risk it ruining your holiday and would get the test if it was me.
Thanks, but the answer is no. It changed a couple of weeks ago to under 16.

When I went maybe 10 years ago I found a private guide and driver on TA. I went up the bridge over river Kwai, the place where the train goes through the market and to an elephant sanctuary plus the floating market place ( I can’t remember the names).
The private guide was worth every penny. We went in rainy season and got soaked. I also went in river with a rescue elephant. It wasn’t till I was in there I remembered about leeches and other horrible things I’ve never clenched everything so hard in my life! Smelt of elephant dung for 2 days 😂. The guides are very knowledgable work hard in organising a good day out for you.To dare is to do 152 posts
We’ve stayed here Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort has beach one side Marina the other. Close to lots of really nice restaurants so no taxis required. Nice spa for Mrs Squirrel or indeed yourself. Indoor pool as well.
We’re going on a cheapie to Pine Hills Vilamoura in October which is self catering but might be better a 2 bed apartment with a nearly teenager! Will report back. Prefer Vilamoura area to other areas.

You can do this on chat if you don’t want to phone. Avois were back in account while still on chat. Voucher few hours later.[/quote
I thought Chat couldn’t deal with anything involving money?
You can’t pay for anything but they can do the refund. They’ve done serval for me.

Ive had issues in the past adding a 241 return in the middle of the night where I was charged excessive taxes/fees but was able to get a refund the next day when speaking to someone in the UK office.
I think we often expect the call centre to know everything but the range of things they need to cover is so vast it’s not feasible to do so any great detail. One chap I spoke to when making an avios booking was amazed when I told him to the penny what the fees were going to be before he could even work it out.
That’s why they should transfer you to correct department which as OP said they have been told not to do. No one expects them to know everything but sometimes even the basics they don’t seem to know.

Honestly you peeps, I thought you were all great bargain hunters! Diamond resorts (very good properties) in Puerto del Carmen has a week in August, £1100 for a 1 bedroom apartment sleeping 4, or £1900 for a 2 bedroom villa sleeping 6. Bookable on hotels. com so you get free night stamps.
Don’t forget to book thru BA shop there’s currently bonus points on BA shop for booking .com 8 points per £1 and 12 points on hotel.com.

I saw quite a lot of availability for Porto this august when I was looking earlier.

Ok, start again! I’ve just read the post again and it says the voucher was issued in 2020/2021. Was it from the BAPP?
If so it should have its full 2 year validity so check the expiry date carefully.I wonder if it’s the old 241 you got with free card valid for 1year I think ? Maybe that’s where the confusion for us lie? But if it’s bapp one issued in 2020 valid for 2 years it wouldn’t have been extended?

That’s a how long is a piece of string question. Go where you want to go is my answer. I had a glut of vouchers and points I’ve used several on reward saver flights to Europe in club Europe. Might not be as flashy as Australia or Maldives etc but as in Rome CE flights on points £100 return and whatever points it was with 241. If you give people more of an idea of where you want to go people can be more specific in their advice.

I’m thinking not, I spoke to Amex last week as I’ve never received my PP since it started. I asked if my supplementary card holder could use it instead of me and I was told no it had to be primary account holder and boarding pass had to match PP card/number. Unless they let you as card holder redeem twice and your guest is waved through as a courtesy I guess it would be up to lounge agent on the day. ?

I often book reward flights for my son and his wife, just so you know if you book it and pay for it even if it’s £1 you will also be able to keep eye on booking in MMB. All flight changes emails come to me on said bookings and indeed the actual ticket confirmation comes to me. My son and wife are in my household account. Don’t forget to tick the person paying is not travelling box, if you’re not going with them.

Try chat in the morning, that’s what I had to do to cancel my flight.

It’s worth pointing out that this is the American Express British Airways Premium Plus card voucher, and only those issued on 1st September 2021 onwards.
It already says so, second paragraph from bottom.
Vouchers issued before September 2021 aren’t called plus.28th June 2022 at 18:49 in reply to: Avios compensation – failure of disability assistTo dare is to do 152 posts
It’s the airports responsibility but the airlines pay for it. Ever since 2006 of top of my head the EU made it law that disability assistance had to be outsourced to a central hub. That’s why say first class passengers can’t have their own. I had a conversation with BA woman in CCL and she said they had repeatedly tried to get their own assistance team but never could. So that’s why it’s centralised and sometimes a complete PIA. There won’t be a single customer who uses assistance that won’t have a horror story me included.
My opinion 10k is not enough, I got 5k points for not having my first choice of meal in club.
Impress on them the point how stressed and uncomfortable you were at having to rush to the gate.To dare is to do 152 posts
Great trip report Froggee, self deprecating and funny. Hope you and your family have a great trip.
I had a lodger once who used to sleep walk, I wasn’t amused when I caught him peeing in my shoes thinking it was the toilet! Let’s hope Froggee junior grows out of the sleepwalking habit. To dare is to do 152 posts
I was on chat for 70 mins, cancel reward booking, chase up 241 voucher and points from a previous cancellation and tried to get my points sorted out after I added my return to 241 booking. That’s after wait 25mins to get to front of queue.
Why they’ve removed the very easy to do function for cancelling reward flights is a mystery only they know. I managed 2 out of 3 still ongoing saga for my 17k points to be returned. To dare is to do 152 posts
I also had to use chat to cancel, I tried to sort out my refund of avois on 241 return trip, but was told that had to now be a phone call. So far I’ve tried chat twice and 1 phone call to get that sorted. 4th time lucky when I can bring myself to try again. 🤞🏻

Awentford.
I originally had booked here as was supposed to be doing trip on the cheap, famous last words. Check out the area lots of cafes and restaurants and near main sites.
If you book through hotel.com via BA shop it’s currently 12 points per £
It really all depends what kind of hotel you are looking for area, price range etc. maybe if you give a little more detail other people can help.
