Maybe you need to phone up for this, I know it’s an impossibility these days. I couldn’t even get the partner reward page to open the other day I gave up and booked anywhere I could get to easily for a week.

To dare is to do [Dear oh dear] I guess I was looking for an opinion or a friendly engagement about the subject. I accept you’re so smart and self important to bother with that. What a world we live in where everyone has to be the biggest guy in the room all the time. Sigh.
Haha and this is why I didn’t bother giving you more of an answer when you replied to BBB, if you had bothered to read t&c of whatever scheme you collect with it would be stated quite clearly selling your miles is a big fat NO.As for being biggest guy in the room that’s really quite funny being as I’m a woman. Do you work for this company and your question was a way of sucking some idiot into selling their miles with you?

No guarantee of any first seats being released only 4 club seats. Your best bet is to nab them then if first becomes available call and upgrade. Remember there’s not a lot of first availability anywhere atm. Of course if 1st is released at the time grab them.

It’s for my brother in-law’s birthday and he only mentioned this week he would like to go, which is a little frustrating as I could have looked at more options such as using a companion voucher. As the trip would only be for a week, I don’t think I could get them to do a very convoluted trip and looks like all Avios options to Barbados or Miami are gone. I will try and find a cheap route to Miami and then a connection to Barbados. Thanks for all of your help!
You could fly to New York then AA do flights to BGI but via Miami a little convoluted but if you want to use points doable. Otherwise fly to NY on points and fly Jet blue to BGI. Try any of the main airports on east coast from UK then look at the connecting flights.

Buildbackbetter – thanks for that comprehensive reply….
A 2 second google search would tell you they are mileage brokers BBB answer is the correct one, you don’t need an essay on what and why as a points collector you should already know mileage brokers can get you in a world of pain.

Anna you aren’t a shrinking violent so what did they say when you put them straight? So if someone booked a last minute flight and paid full price they wouldn’t pull that crap so why should you put up with it. Best you fire of a complaint email and keep up with it till you are satisfied.

Has anyone received the refund on the credit card? The email said it might take a few weeks.
Give them a chance refund emails only went out last night!

Those of you posting that 241s are “back in your account” – are they showing as available to redeem on the booking page? Did they seem to appear at the same time the avios were refunded?
Yes mine are and with new extended expiry date and avois are back in my account this morning.
As in yes the redeem button is there.- This reply was modified 55 years, 7 months ago by .

What about adding a car or hotel for 5 nights turning it into a BA holiday and take advantage of the double up tier points promotion?

There’s some really good beginners guide to using 241 and avois why don’t you start with them they are very simple to understand. Just put in site search engine for links.

I’ve just booked the Hilton dalaman in Turkey for a week. Booked on Hilton points, club class seats for 3 booked on points with an expiring 241, total cost of holiday £150 for 3 people AI.
That might be my best redemption so far.12th January 2022 at 08:50 in reply to: Best London-Dubai flight time for managing sleep on a short 4 day trip?To dare is to do 152 posts
I always choose the evening flight, I book a car to pick me up via hotel so they are aware what time I’m arriving, so far always checked in early. I get 10am or 2pm flight back, I’ve no interest in being in airports at 2am. On last day of trip I just want to get up and go home.

I stayed 2019 I think I really enjoyed the hotel. I’m booked into the WA on the palm this year Ras was a lot more expensive as in I couldn’t get anywhere near the price that the Palm is charging. This trip I’ve booked a BA holiday. Even doing reward flights the hotel at Ras worked out a lot more expensive.

Zara, what was the Hilton Dalaman like? I was looking at that yesterday.
The quality and wow factor is there. The kids club great. However their customer service I personally found very lacking when there is an issue. As a diamond member, They didn’t appear bothered about anything except a negative trip advisor review. Like we had a few issues but they literally showed no genuine interest and genuine customer experience means a lot to me.
Hi Zara thanks for that, I’ve booked it in June on points, got CE seats on points as well so whole holiday is £150 for 3 of us. We’ve got a big expensive trip in September to Dubai so just wanted a week on the cheap to be honest 😆
I think my grandson aged 11 will enjoy all the facilities and I can sit and read in peace. To dare is to do 152 posts
We stayed at the Sherwood Lara in Antalya in Oct and it was excellent. Our first visit to Turkey and we are strongly considering returning to the same resort next year. The only pause for thought is the pull of visiting another part of the country.
I’ve only looked at June but if you’re interested in reward flights June is wide open for Dalaman for redemptions.

22nd December 2021 at 09:54 in reply to: British Airways shoddy family seating policiesTo dare is to do 152 posts
I think this is most likely to be a problem in PE, as the cabin is small and that makes it harder to arrange things. BA as best I’m aware don’t have a method to link bookings, it’s a text note which may not be read, and certainly doesn’t allow you to seat select on the ‘linked’ booking. This is a damned if they do, damned if they don’t situation. Can’t you just see the thread “I was moved to allow a family to sit together after I paid £x to book my seats 7 months ago”. All of my rather limited number of witnessed seat dramas have been in the PE cabin.
BA have no such policy to mix families up, it’s just a result of two bookings, and a small cabin making seat allocation more difficult. You seem to think that the ‘family’ card in some way exempts you from what BA offer, which presumably you were aware of when you booked. How would you feel if you were a status passenger or a paying for seat passenger and were moved to accommodate some group of other passengers BA deemed more worthy? That’s what I wanted to say but couldn’t be bothered.

So you think BA have nothing better to do than intentionally annoy it’s customers over seating? It would have cost more in time and effort for staff to sort out your mess than what they would have earned if you had bothered to pay. I got some spare tin foil I can send you I won’t even charge you.
