@TonyLon book one voucher per person. You have correctly identified the issue people have reported if using one voucher for two people on their ex-UK flight.

Assume this means that I would end up with two separate booking reference numbers – one for each passenger?

    A related question:

If I want to book a return open-jaw flight for two people utilising two vouchers, but i want to book the first leg before the return legs are released, how should i book that first leg. Should I use two vouchers to book the singles for 2 people or just the one voucher.

I know I’m going to need to call to get the return flight added, but wondered whether just using the one voucher option would not let the call agent add the second flight (using the 2nd voucher) as they would say i am in effect trying to use the voucher on a flight not from the UK.

Was a bit worried when I saw your comment that might need my wife’s AMEX card to make booking, as that’s something I don’t have access to as she’s away at the moment.

But no need to worry as was able to use an AMEX card in my name to make the payment.

And as an aside, pleasantly surprised that only took 5 minutes to get through to a call centre operator at BA

If at least one leg is in F just ring YouFirst regardless of status, ive never had to wait more than a few mins.

Thanks Matt – trying that now…

I need to cancel an avios 2-4-1 booking but is it my understanding that I can’t do this online.
I just want the return of the avios and the taxes paid, ie I don’t want to receive a voucher (which seems to be the only option given online)

If it makes any difference the flight booked was in First so is there a different number I can try or do I have to take the lottery of trying to get through to a real agent in under an hour
And no, I don’t have any status so no Gold Line route for me
