Morning all, I don’t know if this is old news? I thought it’ll be big news on homepage.

Have you followed this to the letter. Inc Player 2?

Have you thought about moving all spend to Gold card and do so without incurring interest. Have boosted this months Avios? If its a one hit and run then youve done well but its very possible to keep at it but its up you ultimately.

    £153
    £149.50
    £130
    £125

I would go with your option too at 1p per Avios. If you are Avios rich then first would be fine.

Sounds like making a mountain out of an ant hill.

    1. You have the 241 voucher and it will not be taken back, its yours to use, right now.
    2. You have received/will receive in cash £2,000
    3. You just have to spend another 2k in 2025

Never flown F, much of the reviews online even from our trusted hfp blogger which I cant remember right now. Stating F wasnt worth it. Is there a gulf in difference?

I think the ‘travel delay’ wording refers to something like your train to the airport being delayed.

Madness to think they would accept a train failure than a freak natural event.

    @elguiri
, an unrelated tidbit. San Andres is being claimed by Nicaragua not Panama. It being 450km away from there and 1,205 from Colombia. Falklands Islands distance it is not 😀

You can change at a cost and hope the outbound goes back into inventory.

You need to learn a little bit about the game. Exchanging to pay off balance is a huge no no unless in financial hardship, I guess.

You can retain most hotel and car hire status, the priority pass will be dead as well.

I go in like this. My plat (when I had it) with son. Just us two please. Then my wife goes in with her complimentary card. Entry is with PP. I think you created confusion but it’s fine, it happens. Use Amex app as it’ll tell you which one to use to enter.

Bit obscure but have a look at using and purchasing Choice Privilege points when their on a sale. Real good use in EU, OZ, JP. I believe theres a sale on at the moment.

You can call 360 days out and get the outbound using Avios and 241. You cannot wait around as MAD-MIA vice versa very popular even if two flights per day. You book outbound, then wait to buy inbound.

IB app indeed is very useful. Just checked and loads of availability even 354 days out. Note that the IB have to be booked on BA to use the 241.

Great, Thank you. I would like to transfer the points before I close the account. Is BA Avios the safe recommendation ?

Read a few articles above but put it simply if you want Avios and want to build up for business class then yes. If you want hotels stays in Marriot?!?, then no.

@shub It’s a glitchy glitch. As previously mentioned if you do 4x tix and go to payment stage. If you then think I want to go back and add another tix, your done for. It revert to 2 or even 1 IME to answer your q. Glad your able to understand 🙂 as it’s hard to explain but a great tip non the less.

It’s 360 at IB but you can call BA and book this over phone. It’s 25th Dec atm. If you need Jan 26 you need to wait a few days.

    zapato1060 840 posts

@shub give it a test at midnight only on IB paying full Avios. If the flight has 1x or 2x seats it’s yesterdays. If it’s after midnight you could in theory book 9x seats. Go right to the end, if you get PNR error your too a day ahead, you know you’ve succeeded when it goes to payment stage. You cannot go back at this stage. Test on MEX/MAD that has 3x flights per day.

    zapato1060 840 posts

Two options. 1. If you have the Avios you can book 360 days out at IB without 241 voucher from midnight and choose up to 9 seats in J (note the glitch: do not revert back to the search or you will lose the 9 and it’ll go to normal 2 only). You have a 0-4 hour window IME to get from the 9 available. At say 5am it’ll revert to 2.

    2. Call BA and they let you book IB 360 days out, might have to HUACA. I am not sure if they can pull up 9 seats previously mentioned or just the 2 J normally available. Pay full Avios. Next day call to apply 241.

Even if used incorrectly 80% is an incredibly high number of pts being redeemed. That surprised me a lot. So 20% either hoarding or have no idea they are even there is much lower than I would have expected.

That’s because you now need the whole families points to afford a flight !!

😀 😀 HHA is nicely timed and they’ll spin it as a positive too! “Share your points with family and use them like never before”.

From the perspective of someone green, my haul has been 98% Avios (thanks obvs to here). I thought its best I start moving my operations to Virgin for added coverage. The announcement stopped me dead in my tracks. You could say I am a data point on those on the fence/new to the game.

12% giftcardstore dot uk on one4all gc. minimum £50. Used many a time so reliable.

Potentially convertible to Amazon, asda, sainsbobs by using the gc at boots/wh smith and getting everywish gcs. YMMV on the latter.
