How does it work?

You can link any one Nectar account to one British Airways Executive Club account or vice versa. You can link to a friend or family members account but can only ever be linked to one account.

How do I link my account?

You can link your accounts by following the link from either this page or the Nectar website.

How many accounts can I link to?

You can link one Nectar account to one Executive Club account or vice versa. You can change the accounts you have linked up to a maximum of four times per year.

How will I know my accounts have been successfully linked?

You will receive a confirmation email after you have linked your accounts. You can also check your linked status on the Nectar website and on the Executive Club Exchange.

How do I convert points?

Once you’ve linked your accounts, you can convert points between accounts by following the link from either this page or the Nectar website.

How can I convert points automatically?

You can choose to set-up auto-conversion. Every week we will convert your entire balance, in your chosen direction, up to the automatic exchange limit. Balances will be converted in increments of 400 Nectar points or 400 Avios.

If you signed up to automatically convert Avios to Nectar points before 16 February 2021, then the conversion will continue to be processed on a weekly basis, with up to 10 days delay before points are credited to the Nectar account.

What are the minimum number of points I can convert?

Avios are converted in increments of 400 Avios and Nectar points in increments of 400. The minimum number of points you can exchange are 300 Avios and 400 Nectar points.

What are the maximum number of points I can convert manually?

You can convert up to a maximum of 50,000 Avios or 80,000 Nectar points per calendar month.

What are the maximum number of points I can exchange automatically?

We’ll automatically convert up to a maximum of 25,200 Avios or 40,000 Nectar points per quarter in a calendar year.

I have opted in to automatically convert my points, can I change the direction I send them?

Yes you can. Just cancel your original auto-conversion, and then re-join changing the direction you wish to convert.

I automatically convert my points, can I also make manual conversions?

Yes, as long as they are within the quarterly and monthly limits as outlined above. The limits are independent of one another.

I want to convert my Avios to Nectar points, what information do I need to provide to convert?

You will need to provide the date of birth and email address associated with your British Airways Executive Club account.

If the date of birth and email address are missing from your account, you can update these manually by logging in to your account and going to Manage My Account.

I have manually converted my Nectar points to Avios, how long will it take for the points to convert?

Immediately.

I have manually converted my Avios to Nectar points, how long will it take for the points to convert?

You will see Avios debited from your British Airways Executive Club account when you request your Avios to Nectar conversion, and you will see the Nectar points credited to your account up to 10 days later. Caps/allowances will apply on the day the order is submitted.

I automatically convert my points from Nectar to Avios, when will I receive my Avios?

On a weekly basis.

Is it just the ‘Head’ of the British Airways Executive Club Household Account that can link to a Nectar account?

No, any member can link.

I am a Nectar secondary card holder, can I link to a British Airways Executive Club account?

Yes, any account holder can link – but each Nectar card can only be linked to one Executive Club account. Therefore, each card holder must link to a different Executive Club account.

When will my bonus points be credited to my account?

This is dependent on independent campaign Terms and Conditions.

Where else can I collect Nectar/Avios points?

You can collect Nectar points with any other Nectar collection partner, see Nectar website for collection partners. You can collect Avios with any other Avios collection partner, visit ba.com for collection partners.

Can I use my Avios in Sainsbury’s stores?

No, you can’t use Avios in Sainsbury’s stores, unless of course you’ve converted to Nectar points.

I can’t remember which British Airways Executive Club or Nectar account I linked to

The last four digits of the account you’re linked to will feature in the Nectar email you received when you linked. Your British Airways Executive Club number will also be displayed when logged in on the Nectar or Executive Club Exchange page.

My converted Nectar points have left my account but have not been credited to my British Airways Executive Club account

Manual and Automatic Conversions - Points are usually converted within minutes. However, you may have received a ‘pending message’ when converting. Please keep checking your Executive Club Account or Nectar Account to see if your points have been correctly added.

If it’s been longer than 24 hours and the points are not showing, please contact us on 0344 811 0811 for Nectar and raise a missing Avios form for British Airways.

My converted Avios have left my account but have not been credited to my Nectar account

Allow 10 days for the points conversion. If it’s been longer than 10 days and the points are not showing, please contact us on 0344 811 0811 for Nectar and raise a missing Avios form for British Airways.

I have changed my mind and would like to get my Nectar points back (and vice versa)

You can simply complete a manual conversion in the opposite direction to get your points back - so long as you’re within your monthly manual exchange limit.

I think my Avios/Nectar points have been moved without my permission

If your Nectar points have been converted without your permission, please contact Nectar on 0344 811 0811.

If it’s your Avios that have been converted without your permission, please contact the Executive Club.

Terms and Conditions

  1. To be eligible for this offer, Customers must be at least 18 years old and be either a member of British Airways Executive Club (“BAEC”) and/or a Nectar account holder (“Eligible Customers” or in the singular, an "Eligible Customer”). Eligible Customers must link their BAEC account to a Nectar account or their Nectar account to a BAEC account, in order to convert their Avios into Nectar points or their Nectar points into Avios.
  2. To link a BAEC account to a Nectar account or vice versa, Eligible Customers must visit either the Executive Club Exchange or Nectar website and select "Link your account".
  3. Only one Nectar account can be linked to one BAEC account at any given time and vice versa.
  4. A BAEC account can be linked and unlinked to any Nectar account a maximum of 4 times in a calendar year. A Nectar account can be linked and unlinked to any BAEC accounts a maximum of 4 times in a calendar year.
  5. To convert their Nectar points into Avios or their Avios into Nectar points, Eligible Customers must visit either the Executive Club Exchange or the Nectar website and have a Nectar account and BAEC account linked. Eligible Customers can manually convert their Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Convert your points”. Eligible Customers can also choose to auto-convert their Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Opt in to automatic conversion”. The conversion of points from Avios to Nectar will require date of birth and email validation.
  6. A minimum of 400 Avios are required to make a conversion into Nectar points. Avios can only be converted into Nectar points in increments of 400 Avios. Eligible Customers will accrue 400 Nectar points for every 400 Avios converted.
  7. A minimum of 400 Nectar points are required to make a conversion into Avios. Nectar points can only be converted into Avios in increments of 400 Nectar points. Eligible Customers will accrue 250 Avios for every 400 Nectar points converted.
  8. Upon conversion, Avios can only be awarded to the BAEC account that the Nectar account has been linked to, and Nectar points can only be awarded to the Nectar account that the BAEC account has been linked to.
  9. Avios will be immediately credited to the Eligible Customers’ BAEC account when Nectar points are manually converted into Avios.
  10. Avios will be credited on a weekly basis to the Eligible Customers’ BAEC account when Nectar points are automatically converted into Avios.
  11. Nectar points will be credited 10 days after the date of transfer request to the Eligible Customers’ Nectar account when Avios are manually and automatically converted to Nectar points.
  12. An Eligible Customer may manually convert a maximum of 80,000 Nectar points or 50,000 Avios per calendar month. The cap is separate for both debiting and crediting (e.g. 80,000 Nectar points debit and 80,000 Nectar points credit permitted per calendar month).
  13. An Eligible Customer may automatically convert a maximum of 40,000 Nectar points or 25,200 Avios per calendar quarter. 
  14. The manual and automatic points conversion caps are independent of one another.
  15. Once Nectar points are converted to Avios, they will be awarded in the Eligible Customer’s BAEC account, and BAEC terms and conditions apply. Avios are issued by and redeemed with Avios Group (AGL) Limited in accordance with Avios terms and conditions. For full details please visit ba.com.
  16. British Airways PLC reserves the right to remove any Avios and close any BAEC account that British Airways PLC, Avios Group (AGL) Limited or Nectar believes has obtained or redeemed Avios in breach of these Terms and Conditions or in breach of the BAEC Terms and Conditions.
  17. Avios are not redeemable for cash.
  18. Avios Group (AGL) Limited or British Airways PLC are not liable for redemptions made through Nectar.
  19. For missing Avios queries, please contact BAEC customer service through our online form stating Nectar as the Non-airline partner.
  20. Once Avios are converted to Nectar points, they will be awarded in the Eligible Customer’s Nectar account, Nectar terms and conditions apply. Nectar points are issued and redeemed in accordance with Nectar Terms and Conditions.
  21. Nectar is not liable for the flight, accommodations, or any other rewards redemptions made through British Airways Executive Club.
  22. For missing Nectar points please contact Nectar.
  23. Avios Group (AGL) Limited and Nectar reserve the right to change or modify these terms and conditions.
  24. Any personal information you supply will be used by British Airways PLC in accordance with its Privacy Policy, by Nectar in accordance with its Privacy Policy and by Avios Group (AGL) Limited in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

When you link your accounts, we share data from your British Airways Executive Club account with and receive data from Nectar to enable Avios to Nectar points conversion. We also share information about you, and your activities within the British Airways Executive Club and receive information about you, and your activities within the Nectar programme. This includes what you collect and spend Avios and Nectar points on, such as travel and shopping.

That information will be used in accordance with the Privacy Polices of British Airways and Nectar.

Personalised offers based on your Executive Club and Nectar data

The data shared between British Airways and Nectar will be used to help us tailor marketing that is relevant to you. For example, if you’ve got a trip coming up, Nectar might send you an offer for all your holiday essentials.

We’ll also share data for other uses, including when necessary to facilitate your Avios or Nectar points conversions, service your account and protect against fraud.

What sort of data will be shared?

We’ll share information that we learn from your membership of the British Airways Executive Club and receive information that is provided by Nectar:

How do I unlink my accounts?

You can unlink your accounts at any time through the Executive Club Exchange or Nectar website and apps.

After you unlink, British Airways and Nectar will delete the personal data that has been received for marketing purposes but will retain information on your use of Avios and Nectar such as your transfers.
