How it works
The Advance offer gives you a fully flexible ticket: travel on any train on the outbound date you booked, and return any time within a month. Like all our tickets, you can book up to six months in advance. You can only get this offer online, and there’s limited availability, so book early as these offer fares sell out quickly.

- For the outbound journey, you must travel on the outbound travel date booked
- You can’ start, break or resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station
- Non-exchangeable, non-refundable
- You can upgrade your Advance ticket to a refundable booking for a small fee. Your refundable booking includes Covid-19 infections and many more reasons. Simply select the option to protect your Advance ticket when purchasing online
- You can’t use this offer with a railcard, or any other promotion, discount or offer
- The offer is valid until further notice. Stansted Express reserves the right to make changes without prior notice and withdraw the offer at any time, provided that all outstanding purchases are honoured
