Win two Business Class tickets to Taipei with China Airlines!

About China Airlines: Taiwan’s Flag Carrier

China Airlines is Taiwan’s national airline, headquartered in Taipei. Founded in 1959, it is the only airline offering non-stop flights between London Heathrow and Taipei.

China Airlines is part of the SkyTeam alliance, which means you can earn and burn Virgin Points on China Airlines flights as well as earn tier points.

China Airlines Lie-Flat Seat

Onboard, China Airlines delivers a comfortable business class experience featuring lie-flat seats, great amenity kits and both Western and Taiwanese meal options. You can read Rhys’ review of China Airlines Business Class from his trip to Taipei last year.

Where can you fly with China Airlines?

Obviously from the UK one answer is Taipei, and this prize is your chance to visit the capital of Taiwan for yourself. This article by Rhys on his second visit to the country has an introduction to Taipei and will give you a flavour of what to expect and why he loves the city.

Bangkok

However, flying via Taipei is also one of the best gateways into Asia and an excellent routing onwards to Oceania.

China Airlines operates a broad network across Asia and Oceania, serving numerous destinations in both regions. In Asia, the airline connects major cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore, along with numerous other cities in countries including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Auckland

In Oceania, China Airlines flies to destinations like Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Brisbane, linking Taiwan with key cities in Australia and New Zealand. The airline’s extensive routes provide convenient connections onwards from Taiwan for the UK traveller to many attractive destinations.

What could you win?

One lucky winner will receive two return Business Class tickets to Taipei with China Airlines.

Your London Heathrow to Taipei outbound flights must be taken by 31st May 2025. Flights are subject to availability, but there are no blackout periods in this timeframe. (Some blackout dates apply to return flights in late June 2025.)

Huh….the form actually does let you submit the wrong answer for this.
Now I wonder whether submitting the wrong answer will give you better chances since that China Airlines will “want” you to experience and know about Taiwan more.

    • Skywalker says:

If only all competitions assisted entrants by not letting them submit the incorrect option.

I just had a look at their website, there’s indeed some good prices but I noticed in the frequent flyer section of the booking ITA is not listed in the dropdown (but SAS, a more recent addition to SkyTeam is). Has anyone tried flying them with ITA status and have the points posted? As I have a status match I would rather stick with ITA until they leave the alliance (and then possibly the other ST airlines will do a free status match)

Did I miss the competition winner being announced?
