Promising this is now being implemented six or seven weeks after it was announced. Will save carrying rucksacks full of cash as we had to last year. Bear in mind WU will still be useful as I believe cash machines will still charge at the official rate and you can only withdraw fairly small sums anyway as cash machines can’t hold enough notes. Unless they have capitulated, 1000 peso was the biggest note and doesn’t get you far. They no longer have sufficient printing capacity in Argentina so are having to import notes! Also, quite a few restaurants will give decent discounts for cash.
