I’m going to say that your best bet on getting availability is by using your companion voucher from the regions on BA.
January will be popular but the voucher opens things up significantly, in fact a quick check for Jan ‘24 shows some availability on Jan 1st outbound then nothing until the 19th but the back end of the month into Feb has reward flights on around 2 out of 3 days. Returns have similar results in Feb.
The economics are another matter but the coverage of Qatar redemptions have reduced the availability, if you can find them go for it (and that’s what I’m doing in Feb).
