On a slightly related note, are you aware of the temperature and humidity in Japan during summer?
Also, consider Finnair. Companion voucher not valid but the rewards seat prices aren’t that bad. Also also, availability might be better then BA. Also also also they fly into two additional cities which might have even better availability.
