Don’t forget that with a BA hol booking if you do it as a multi city booking you can defer the last leg to a later date or just book to end the trip in LHR
There may be cost implications of doing this but it’s worth considering.
Last year I did a couple ex ARNs to the US where I shifted the last LHR-HEL-ARN by a couple of weeks and IIRC it cost about £100 extra but it was worth doing that for my own sanity.
