I’m not a complete newby to this, but my next trip in Summer 2025 is challenging and I’d appreciate some advice please.
My wife and I would like return Business Class flights from Heathrow to Sydney, with a one month layover on the outbound leg in Singapore and 3 weeks in Sydney. We are relatively flexible on dates (as long as we are in Sydney for the Lions Tour rugby tests). I believe that reward flights on the London-Sydney route are very rare, so I’m assuming we’ll have to secure the outbound route first, maybe add the layover at a subsequent date, then add the return journey.
Any advice on tactics to achieve this?

This is getting to be a regular question! Have a look at the previous threads, especially those that mention the 241. You’re not going to be able to add the second leg to a 241 booking, BUT you may get lucky with the extra availability from the 241 and be able to book the whole trip in one go.

Having been looking recently with the amex voucher there has been fairly good availability from the regions Sydney, so might get lucky.

I’ve read that thread but can’t see anything about the SIN-SYD leg.
Not sure the OP got his answer.
Basically you have to search each leg separately and hope to get availability on the dates you want – then ring each time to get it added.
The stopover does add extra Avios and extra taxes. I’m hoping to do something similar in 2025.
