Sorry if I am behind the curve but I see that you can earn 20 Avios per £ at Avios hotels via the BA Club
for bookings made before 24 February 2025.
Also they are offering refundable rates – last time I tried to book an Avios hotel for cash they were non refundable. Looks like Avios hotels have paired up with Expedia – there is an Expedia symbol on the page.Where are you seeing this? I see 10/£:

Ooohh…this seems pretty generous. I wonder if I cancel my existing bookings and rebook I will get 20x. Would certainly be worth it for the miles I’d get
Interesting. Just checked a Hilton booking I’m due to make for half term, and it’s £35 cheaper booking direct, but 7,000 Avios for using Avios Hotels. But I’ll miss out on my free breakfast. Hmmmm

… and Hilton won’t pay the Avios, so I’d book direct if I were you. Other chains might be better.

The Avios are paid by Avios Hotels, not Hilton. There shouldn’t be a problem.
Hilton, on the other hand, are a dishonest bunch of shysters who lure you to book directly with a promise of Avios from the BA Shopping Portal, but, as has been widely reported here, always fail honour their obligation.

Suggest double checking Avios Hotel / Avios Holidays against BA prices.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando 7 nights mid-July 2025 was around 25% cheaper booked through BA Reservations compared with Avios Hotels with the 10 Avios per £
(Might have been a hotel specific offer or running for a couple of days only ?? But Avios Hotels price about £300 cheaper than Hilton direct before taking into account the 10 Avios per £)
