Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club 20 days to achieve Finnair Platinum

  • 1 post

    Hello.

I am 2241 tier points short of the 80,000 required for Finnair Platinum. Tracking period ends September 30th.

If I was in Ireland, I would just need a €280 Finnair flight to get me over the line.

But I am in Japan until after the tracking period ends. So a Finnair flight is not an option.

So I need to fly JAL.

I am inexperienced with this stuff and I am struggling to find the right way to get the remaining points, but also being sure enough that what I do (codeshares/multipliers) is correct.

I don’t see any straight forward international flights I can do that help. A return trip to Seoul isn’t far enough. Taiwan is too expensive.

With work I don’t really have anything more than 2 x 1 days to get it done, and I am trying to see how I can best do this domestically.

Does anyone have experience or advice for the best way for me to proceed?

    Thank you.

If you haven’t already purchased tier points with Avios this membership year, then that’s an easy option. No flying necessary.
