Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club 241 voucher with a domestic sector

  • 16 posts

Ive been saved VA points for a while and finally got a decent amount and a 241 to use. I see that on a normal cash booking you can add the domestic sector, is this also doable with the 241 or can you add it on later, or do I just need to do a seperate domestic booking altogether?

    Thanks

You can’t use the voucher on a domestic connection as these aren’t flown by Virgin. The agent who makes your booking can very likely add the domestic on if you’re using it for a cash booking, but I don’t know about a points one. You have to call to use the voucher though, so you can clarify all this while you’re on to them!

I believe that your domestic booking has to be paid for in cash. I would strongly suggest, assuming all else is equal, getting VS to ticket a domestic booking – if your VS inbound is delayed for whatever reason, they’ll become responsible for resolving your domestic.

The only time I had this happen, I was met at the gate in LHR and whisked through.
