I am going to Washington DC in October with my son and would be keen to include him as a second driver, however he will be 23 and I’m not so keen on paying $35 a day for an under 25 driver.

A Young Renter Fee (also called an Age Differential Charge or Underage Driver’s Fee) is an additional fee that is applied along with the standard car rental rate to reservations of drivers ages 20-24.
SO not much different I am guess?

Never heard of this company or app but they reckon they have a way around it. I make no recommendations.
Sorry about that OP – Thrifty looked hopeful on the face of it, but it seems to be the same as the others.
Maybe see if you can earn some extra points or miles on the rental to soften the blow!
