Forums Payment cards Capital on Tap £40 credit for using card on Amazon

  • 59 posts

Just a heads up that I received an email and text with the following offer.

If you spend at Amazon.co.uk before 20 March 2022, we will credit your account with £40 (there’s no catch, I promise).
*£40 credit will be applied before 30/04/2022, no further action required.

I tried it yesterday so will let you know but it looks like could buy something for £1 and get the £40 credit.

Sounds dodge! Go to the website directly (NOT by clicking the email/text) and see if the offer is on your account there…

Oh it sounds like you already did it! I’m guessing this was an offer from your card rather than Amazon.

That sounds extremely dodgy, were you required to re-enter your card details as part of it? Has anyone else here received this?

Seems like a very unlikely offer to me, though I am happy to be wrong.

I just called them using the nunber on their website . Confirmed genuine. Great offer.
Apparently lots of customers calling to check it too!

Just to confirm the email did not ask me to do anything other than use the card at Amazon which is what I did. Don’t see therefore that they would have been able to scam or phish with no contact required. Anyway, now confirmed.

Nice one – thanks for the update and original heads up! I need a new keyboard for my works computer and have been eyeing up the Mini Master MX, this would make that a much more palatable purchase, if I get the offer too.

Hope you do get the offer! good luck.

I had £10 back for spending at Amazon – credit has already hit my account. Now I’m disappointed it wasn’t £40!
