I earned the 70000 points on the BA Premium AMEX but then had a credit issued which took me back under the £3k spend, fair enough. Since then, I’ve spent the money again to take me over the £3k but the 70000 hasn’t been awarded back to my account? This has only happened in the last couple of days, however, when I originally spent over the £3k the Avios were awarded straight away and by the same token, removed straight away when I went back under so just wondering why now, I’m waiting for them to be ‘re-awarded’?
In previous case like this, the bonus has been returned when the spend has gone back over the target as long as you are still inside the 90 day period. All should be well.
If outside the bonus earning period then you are in trouble as you’ve lost the bonus forever.
I dont think he could be OVER the bonus as the offer started when I applied which would be around month and a half ago. It will go back to normal in due course. Would suggest you wait til the points are in your BA account as then they cannot be recovered. You will have a -70,000 though but card can still be cancelled in this instance.
